j - that is totally frustrating and I may not have gone off, but I would've been muttering something - especially if he said that he was a busy man. I probably would've said I was busy too. Marty in the meantime probably would've told me to shut up - though he may have beat me to the punch with the comments! Your wife was just afraid for you, that's all. There are sooo many nuts in this world and you have to worry, but you don't have to take any crap either.

Miss Mary - ATTA GIRL!!!!! :D

I've never heard of toothpaste either, but we always had Noxema on hand when I was little!

OK... since we're using this thread to get things off our chests, I gotta go on a bit of a rant here (sorry):

Last month I went downtown with a friend of mine for a couple of hours to chill out. This "friend" and I have now lost contact. That meeting a month ago is the last time I spoke with him. I sent 3 e-mails trying to reach him, and just tried again tonight. He does have a job, but it is not a 24 hour deal, I just got to know, WTH is going on, why is this happening for the 3rd time in 2 months???

I feel much better today. :D Sunburn wise and emotional wise. :D

One mini rant I have is people who pull up in the parking lot outside my alley and blare their horns for someone to come to their car. Get off your lazy @$$ and walk to the front door!

Jeremy - Sometimes in life you will never know why a person that you thought you were so close to does the things that he/she does. More than likely, the problem is with them and not you. It's not easy to let go, but for you own peace of mind, do so.

Josh - You're right. I would be pretty annoyed with that as well!

I have to vent before I leave this #$^&* board for good. I cannot STAND it when I post a post, like the hurricane upgrade I had just posted; and while I am getting rid of the #%^&*( line breaks; someone beats me to it! AFTER the person changes their post from a $%^&*( link to the SAME EXACT TEXT I HAD JUST POSTED!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Joshua, take a deep breath, drink a pint of tequila, and call me in the morning...

As for me, my dad told me about a week ago that I'm going to NJ to see my aunt, and the anticipation has been driving me absolutely insane since then. I'll be leaving on the 23rd, which leaves me with 8 days of absolute BORING BOOTHEEL DRUDGERY. There, I vented.

Josh, calm down! That's not good for you. Seriously, don't take this so rough. Maybe they're trying to get a reaction... so don't give it to them.

I know you did Jeremy...you're just going through a bad spell.

Joshua - listen to what Jeremy is saying. That maybe the case or it could be that whoever did that didn't realize it would bother you or they thought they were helping you out. If it is a specific person in question, just pm them and discuss it.

Joshua, ever think that there may be several people out there trying to be the first to post a hurricane upgrade? It has nothing to do with you in all likelyhood. As a weather/hurricane focused site we always will have a chance of double posts on an upgrade. We have the same thing on a regular basis on the new members welcome threads. Don't take it personally.....

Well, I just love car breakdowns!!! I got on the turnpike to head home last night (about a 20 mile drive), and my power steering went out, then my AC, then the car started having some major Voltage problems. That's when it started to heat up. I hobbled into the Procare station near my house doing 10 mph and the car died!!!!! Whew, at least I made it that far. I probably should have pulled over on the turnpike, but, hey, I'm blonde and I didn't. Well so far today the bill is up to $300 and they're not finished yet. I thought it was probably just a belt but nooooooo. The belt tensioner is history and I created other problems driving it hot!!! Well, I'm glad I got that off my chest. Thanks for listening and God Bless.

Karan -

Now aren't you glad you started this topic??? I'd hate to be stranded at night like that. You're lucky that you were still able to steer at all!

UGH....karan that stinks! Cars are something we have to have in this day and age....wonderful pieces of machinery when they are running right....a royal pain in the butt and pocketbook when they decided to go on strike!

Hope all works out well for you and your wheels!

Speaking of which I need to go and take mine to get a drink of fuel..is it me or are gas prices rising again?
