For the record, I think that it stinks that Ryan and Randy both make $15 million, Simon makes $30 million and Paula was only making $2 million? AI offered to raise her pay to $4 million. Discrimination anyone? She's been just as much a part of AI as the others. She may be whacky, but guess what? It brought more viewers to AI as well.

I tend to agree with your assessment, but I want to withhold judgement till I see her in action. There is a possibility she could bring a perspective we haven't seen to the show that could be refreshing. No, I am not holding my breath waiting to find out though. I will believe it is a good decision when I've seen most of the season and she isn't as bizarre as they come.

She is a very good choice for Idol because she can bring a view from the rest of the world into it. The other three judges will have the musicians view, while Ellen will have the real world uneducated view. Very good replacement.

I agree. No clue why they kept Kara. I don't go around asking people but from everyone who has mentioned her at all, they don't think she was a good addition to the show.

Good Morning America Cancels Adam Lambert Concert

First on TVNewser: American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert won't be appearing on "Good Morning America" tomorrow.

TVNewser has learned ABC News canceled the concert after Lambert's sexually charged performance at the American Music Awards Sunday night. Lambert led men on leashes, dragged a woman by her foot, and smashed a man's head into his crotch, all while singing his new single "For Your Entertainment."

This is why he was NOT the American Idol. The "in your face" over the top dramatic act just doesn't cut it for many.
