Jake, prayers and thoughts sent your way in the job search situation! :)

Tonight my Dad came down with a sore throat.

Also please keep Jeremy in your prayers for his sore throat, too.

I have a 2 hour GTT (glucose tolerance test) on Friday morning (11/19)...just a routine part of seeing a new endocrinologist since moving to Raleigh. I had like a 4-5 hour GTT when I lived in Roanoke Rapids for my previous doctor when I lived there...so 2 hours compared to that other one will be a piece of cake. :P

Thanks Eric. Much appreciated. Yuk...I feel even worse today. Not only a sore throat but now sniffles and stuffy nose too...I'm at Cincinnati Children's Hospital getting ready to have a urodynamics exam done here at 9:15. So please pray for me on that too.

Well they suspect not only do I have a cold, but I *may* have a urinary tract infection. I usually get one of these a year. But other than that, everything looks okay. I'm leaving here at 10:30 to go home and rest.

My father in law had to be taken to the hospital just a little while ago. He is having some difficulty with his breathing and his heart is erratic and racing. It is his Congestive Heart Failure rearing its' head again. He is 86 yrs. old and very frail. Please pray for him and the entire family.

I have to go pick up my mother at the airport since she is coming into town tonight for my son's graduation tomorrow. Anyway, I just wanted the MPW to crank it up like you always do.

Thanks everyone!!!

David, and Jake, and Jeremy...and others. Prayers out of Phoenix tonight. Sky is loaded with stars, so one of them might just hold your wish for good luck and a warm heavenly hand on the shoulder.

Thanks everyone. My FIL was admitted for observation and medication adjustment so it looks like he won't make his grandson's graduation, but he was so miserable he wouldn't have gone anyway. I know the prayers are helping both here and with him at the hospital and we appreciate them immensely.

Steph Forgave Me! :)

#674 Postby Guest » Sat Nov 20, 2004 6:38 pm

Stephanie forgave me for my STUPID actions two weeks ago. In case you need a refresher course, here you go!

After that very long, grueling weekend last week, it was good to see Stephanie. It was even better to see her smiling :). The main thing I was concerned about was the fact that I might have hurt her feelings; my feelings mean nothing, though I felt better, too. I wrote her e-mail last weekend indicating that she has nothing to apologize for, it was all my fault.

She did not know until Tuesday morning (the first day I saw her) that I had apologized (she checked the e-mail)! Anyway, we gave each other a friendly hugged and are now good friends! :)

Never want to go through a weekend like that again! But it turned out good in the end. Thanks for the prayers!

We are needing more prayers for my Father-in-law and the family. He is not responding to treatments to regulate his heart rate and has become more and more confused each day. They can't do any other testing till they get him somewhat regulated. We aren't sure but a small stroke may be involved here. He is also getting out of bed and wandering in the middle of the night so they have had to put him in restraints since he fell last night and hurt himself. They have requested family presence 24/7 since he seems to respond to us better than his caretakers at the hospital. They appear to be short staffed too so I think that is part of the problem. Anyway, if you guys to could ramp up the prayers for all of us it would be appreciated.

First of all a Praise Report...about a week and a half ago an aunt of mine who is the mother of my cousin Kurt...anyway she said that Kurt's wife Connie (who at first we all thought had cancer)...it turns out she had a diseased spleen which was removed and she's now healthy and but has to take extra precaution now around folks w/ colds, flu, etc...BUT she is now healthy so an answer to prayer!! :D

Now for some tragic news...my folks and I have a friend named Pat who lives in Whitakers, NC...she has 3 sons and a daughter and her youngest son Grant (whom I reckon was in his 20s)...he was riding a moped or scooter yesterday about a half block from his house near a highway and tried to stop when he saw a transfer truck approaching...Grant spun out in doing so and was hit by the truck and killed. :( :(  Please remember his mother Pat, stepfather James, brothers Jonathan and Mark, sister Kayla as well as some nieces and nephews.

Also, the truck driver and his family. :(

Thank you,
Eric

Prayers going out to the families to say the very least Eric!! Such a tregedy!!

Update on my Father-in-law. He is still in the hospital but is now in a normal room. They ahve managed to get things somewhat regulated except now his blood pressure is too low. He did have a mild heart attack and needs open hear surgery, but is much too frail to undergo any type of surgery so the docs are regulating as much as they can with meds and hopefully he will go home early next week. Keep the prayers rooling for him and my mother-in-law as they and we as a family go through the tough decisions we will be making over the time ahead of us. Your prayers are definitley felt and definitely appreciated.
