I think Knight Rider got a lot of curious viewers, the reviews have been HORRIFIC all over the internet. I really question if a regular series could succeed(Bionic Woman was a massive disaster).

American Gladiators did AWFUL. Poor move scheduling it at 7pm on Sunday against NASCAR. Big Brother belongs in the summer not in February(and it brought down the rest of CBS though Dexter did decent enough) while Brothers and Sisters is very weak without Desperate Housewives.

The CW needs to close down.

I think I expressed my views on Knight Rider in chat last night. I still haven't watched the re-edited Dexter, but I am actually afraid to watch it. I'm afraid I will spend the entire time cataloging what was cut from the original episode. I enjoyed the original series on Showtime (and the books too), so I may pass on this. BTW, I am not saying don't watch it. They actually may have done a decent job re-editing for network television, but I'll stick to my DVDs.

Brent, do you know if NBC is still planning to bring Monk to network TV?

As for CW, as along as The Reaper and Supernatural is on, CW needs to stay.

The CW needs to stay for Beauty and the Geek later on.

I think I'll skip it and watch the unedited episode on DVD instead.

Are they starting Monk from season 1, last season or current season?

NBC UNIVERSAL ANNOUNCES NEW CLIENT-CENTRIC APPROACH TO UPFRONT

52-Week Primetime Programming Schedule to be Unveiled to Advertisers in April

One-on-One Client Meetings to be Held During Three-City Roadshow

Spotlight Event on May 12 to Showcase the Platforms and Capabilities of NBCU

NEW YORK - February 19, 2008 - NBC Universal today announced an innovative, client-centric approach to its traditional Upfront presentation that will include the announcement of a year-round programming schedule in April; a series of one-on-one client meetings in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago; and a spotlight event on May 12 that will showcase the platforms and capabilities of the larger NBC Universal company.

"A business-as-usual approach no longer applies in today's multi-platform media environment," said Jeff Zucker, President and CEO of NBC Universal. "The traditional primetime presentation shines a light on only one piece of what our company has to offer. This new approach gives our clients an early look at NBC's scheduling strategy and allows us to showcase the full suite of creative advertising solutions and customized services that NBC Universal is uniquely positioned to provide to the marketplace."

As part of the new selling process, NBC Entertainment will take the unprecedented step of unveiling a full, 52-week primetime programming schedule in early April. Over a three-day period in New York, Ben Silverman and Mark Graboff, Co-Chairmen of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios, will meet with advertisers and agency partners to allow for a more collaborative dialogue with clients about the advertising opportunities presented in the schedule.

Silverman said: "There is an insatiable desire for new content year round, and we want to satisfy that need and be efficient at the same time." Graboff added: "By getting a jump start on the season we can start the dialogue now and continue it throughout the year, ensuring a productive process with our clients that allows for more robust, integrated campaigns."

Immediately following the network's schedule presentation, NBC Universal's sales team will begin a series of client meetings in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago to discuss the new schedule as well as detail the numerous opportunities and capabilities available across the NBCU portfolio.

"This marks the next step in the evolution we began with our partners one year ago, to create a more powerful connection between our clients and consumers through innovative, targeted and custom marketing solutions," said Mike Pilot, President, NBC Universal Sales and Marketing. "The new Upfront process allows us to continue our 'customer-first' approach, as we work together to create new advertising models, define more effective metrics and provide a better return on our clients' investments."

The new Upfront approach will culminate in a spotlight event on May 12 that will showcase the full scale of the NBCU offerings in a unique, multi-media, interactive environment. Advertisers will be invited to a Manhattan location to join executives and talent to experience the broad spectrum of advertising opportunities available within NBC Universal:

TV Guide:

Looks like Las Vegas is cashing in its chips after five years on the air.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that NBC has opted not to renew the show for a sixth season. Consequently, last Friday's episode? Yep, that was the series finale. Hope it was satisfying!

NBC had hoped this season's cast shake-up — Thomas Magnum replacing Sonny Corleone — might re-energize the show, but instead, it led to a double-digit ratings decline. Of course, the Friday time slot didn't help.

Sad to see the Montecito close its doors? Eulogies are currently being accepted in the white box below.

Hey all, since the strike took away many of our usual weekly shows, we started checking out seasons of Survivor from our local library. If you're a Survivor fan, look into this. My favorite season remains Palau (Tom [winner], Ian, Bobby Jon, Stephenie, Karen) but the neat part is at least half of the episodes have commentary from cast members. We are currently watching Survivor: Australia. The first episode has commentary with none other than the man himself - Jeff Probst! That was pretty cool to hear. Since the whole concept of Survivor and reality TV was so new, he has many interesting things to say.

So that's my Survivor fan tip - check out these former seasons. Also, they're free from our library system and you have 7 days to return them.

The 80th Annual Academy Awards led ABC to enormous Sunday victory, with an advantage over the four competing networks combined. Keep in mind that fast affiliate results for any live event are always approximate. On that note, The Academy Awards averaged an approximate 29.16 million viewers and a 9.8 rating/ 23 share among adults 18-49 from 8:30-11 p.m. (results after 11 p.m. are not available yet), with the half-hour breakdown as follows:

The 80th Annual Academy Awards (ABC)
8:30 p.m. Viewers: 32.27 million, A18-49: 10.6 rating/24 share
9:00 p.m. Viewers: 30.70 million, A18-49: 10.2/23
9:30 p.m. Viewers: 30.07 million, A18-49: 10.2/23
10:00 p.m. Viewers: 27.34 million, A18-49: 9.3/23
10:30 p.m. Viewers: 25.42 million, A18-49: 8.8/23

Comparably, however, this was quite a drop from The 79th Annual Academy Awards, which averaged a stellar 40.17 million viewers and a 14.1/33 in the demo on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007.

MASSIVE drop from last year and it dropped as the night went on.

Well, duh. There wasn't anything else on. I was going to watch The Simpsons and Family Guy (new episodes already), but Nascar and the $@#$! rain delay kinda messed that up.

Aww, thanks guys. Maybe he didn't win b/c his parents weren't in the house? You see his aunt, Rosemary Clooney was being honored at Cincinnati's Music Hall the same night as the Academy Awards. Oh the dilemma apparently.....should they attend and support George or stay in town and attend the event for George's aunt? They stayed in town......

http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dl ... 8302240002

I don't think I'd be able to do that though. I would have been at the Academy's - win or lose!

Let's see...

Woman confessed, in front of her husband, parents, brother, sister, and America that

A. She cheated on her husband
B. She was in love with her ex-boyfriend on her wedding day

(and more, but that was the worst)

The sister stopped the question of whether she would leave her husband if the ex wanted to get back with her(but it's obvious what the answer would have been now)

She ended up losing because she still thinks she's a good person( ), so she destroyed her marriage and got no money.

That was very uncomfortable and painful to watch. I see why there was a debate on whether to even air the episode.

Meanwhile on Deal or No Deal, I am convinced there's a curse. They will never give away a million dollars.
