Greetings Pojo! So good to hear from you. :O)

Josh, I'm excited for you. I'm happy it's finally happening for you.

Been a busy weekend saying goodbyes to friends...There was a really nice going away dinner for us at a friends house lastnight...They live in an incredible old historic family home, a true show piece, and offered for me to love their old house with them, since I'm leaving mine behind....very sweet... :)

Movers come in 2 days! The countdown is on....

Thanks Miss Mary...Well packing day has arrived...the packers are here busily packing up all my pretties :(. Can you beleive they sent the biggest burliest men to pack up all my fine crystal, china and antiques...goodness, I hope everything survives...This is truly such a sad day for me though, because I hate that we're leaving, and there's no turning back now. When the packers and movers arrive...it's REALITY smack in the face. They told me to stay out of the way, so I'm playing Hearts all day and chatting online...Moving stinks :).

Shannon #1 - Welcome Miss Airman!! Great to hear from you. Thanks for checking in!

Shannon #2 - Looks like it's moving day for you!! So I guess that means you won't be online for a while. We're thinking about you and wishing you all the best in your move. Pop in when you can!

I'm heading out shortly to carpool with my 6th grade daughter's class to the Regional Science Fair to help them set up their displays. My daughter built a tornado simulator, and you should see this thing work!!! I have some pictures and specs that I'll post when I get time.

Have a great day everyone!

Donna...what a neat memory you brought back for me. From 1991-1994 I served as an all-city Project Fair judge for the Rockford, Illinois, school district.

The kids would be dressed up in dresses or shirts and ties, be called down to the staging area for a question and answer session about their project. They were nervous/proud/excited/glowing! Some projects were absolutely terrific. Others were less prepared. All of them, ALL of them, got at least a smile and a handshake from me.

And, you guessed it, those that did projects on weather brought an extra smile to me!

Hope your daughter had fun and did well. I used to teach 6th grade. Loved that age! Today, some of those sixth graders have kids of their own in 6th grade...and still drop me an email now and then.
Great age, great kids.

Hope you can share a photo or two.

Steve

Steve, I can totally see you as a judge, especially after witnessing the whole judging process (through a teeny window since no parents or teachers are allowed in the display area during judging). It was a great experience. Hillary was so nervous. She's really quiet and shy anyway, but afterward she came out all bubbly and excited and thought she did well. I saw one judge spend about 25 mins one-on-one with her! Yikes! lol

Sixth graders are indeed an interesting group. I bet you were a memorable teacher, as is apparent from the contacts you still have with your students.

I'll post a picture of her project after we get back from our (first ever) cruise, which we're leaving for tomorrow. We're driving down to New Orleans and stopping overnight in Blytheville, Ark to visit with an old friend of Jim's he hasn't seen in about 25 years. That should be a kick.

I'll try to check in before we leave, but if not, have an awesome week everyone!

P.S. - Garrett - Darn! I didn't know you were going to be in Owensboro overnight. It's only 25 mins from me. I'd have bopped down there and harrassed you pretty good after your long trip! Oh well, you better be at the Meet & Greet Picnic then. :D

It has been nearly a week since anyone stopped by the Pot Belly Stove. Wow! :o

Is everyone out on the front porch?

Oh, and Donna, has something been decided on the Meet and Greet yet. I plan to be there! ;)

Yes we are quite proud!

Anyway, good morning from Cincinnati's public library...after a very interesting morning at the WKRC studio in Downtown...during which lightning strikes were seen on radar SW of Louisville...

It has been a LONG time since I stopped by here...good to finally do so...

Isobar, how was that cruise? I'm going on my first ever in June! :)

WX247, good to see you made it home...

Azskyman, those memories are always the BEST ones you could have, bar none. No doubt in my mind that my HS years will stick out as the best school years of my life...even with the personal issues I have had which I won't go into today...but at a later time...

Well that's it for now. Have a good Tuesday, and I'll see you all later from home...

well, Its definitely April, had a wonderful time pulling an April Fools Joke on the Whole Squadron.... the Captain could not have done any better.... she had our squadron shaking in their boots. Dude, that was awesome, I had my bite my lip through her statements against the whole entire squadron.... She literally reemed their butts! We (myself and 4 other Airman Leaders) worked our way up to the front and while everyone was wondering who pulled it off! We received a standing O for our perfect fools Joke! :D :D :D Dude it was a classic! I couldn't believe it worked, and we received many compliments from our fellow Airmen! It was fun!

As my sig says, I should be home by the end of this month.... we are halfway done with classes.... I can start wearing my civilian (civi's) Tuesday after formation (that's when I'll receive my Phase II card) Believe me, I can't wait. :D

Great to hear from you Shannon. Sound full of spirit and enthusiasm! Let us know when you are back in Wisconsin once again.

A cool day here with scattered showers and storms still roaming around. Will likely get another round of them sometime before daylight comes to an end.

Have a nice Saturday evening.
