Aren't there rules against this sort of thing in that competition, though? It's just a bit odd to me.

Mel, I was off island yesterday and when I came home last night I jumped right back in.

As far as StormspinnerD2 goes...

He must not realize the importance of this, then again maybe he is just a closet curmudgeon that comes out after dark

Re: Only five days left to vote, help when you can...

#99 Postby knotimpaired » Sun Jun 15, 2008 12:20 pm

Ok Mel, listen up.

I took a break from voting to prep and make the mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole and stuffing in advance for tonights Fathers Day dinner. I was gone at least 40 minutes from the computer.

When I came back and tried to vote it did not let me. I refreshed for about 5 minutes and finally got fed up.

I called channel 12 (from Puerto Rico no less) and registered my concern that votes were not being allowed to be cast (at least in my case) and their main number is closed for the weekend. I called then the "breaking news" dept. and spoke with a gal named Lindsay. She said there was nothing that could be done because "Craig" their computer guy does not come in until tomorrow. She was very much understanding about it.

Long story made short is that after the call I was able to vote but I want everyone to know that if this happens to you, make the call to 561-848-6397 and let them know you cannot vote. This may be isolated but EVERY vote counts.

Hopefully if this continues they will log each call and add them to the count.
