The media (at least the national media) had their consent. They were allowed to film earlier in the week and then were respectfully asked to stop, which they did. However, some inidividuals continue to appear on TV.

Yes, thank God some of the media has morals. Others do anything for a story.

If anyone is so inclined:
Nickel Mines School Tragedy
At the request of the Amish Community, a fund has been established at the HomeTowne Heritage Bank division of National Penn Bank for the victims and families of the Nickel Mines School tragedy in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
Donations to the fund can be made at any National Penn Bank Division location.
or Donations can be mailed to:
The Nickel Mines School Victims Fund
c/o HomeTowne Heritage Bank
P. O. Box 337
Strasburg, PA 17579
The Amish don’t have health insurance and I can only imagine what the hospital bills for these poor girls will be.

Yeah, they can be photographed with their consent. After all, anyone remember the series "Amish In The City," which followed a group of Amish kids living with "English" kids during Rumspringa? The reason they prefer not to be photograph is because they wish to avoid appearing vain or proud, as well as abiding by what the Second Commandment says about graven images.
