Well now we have 4 potential fathers for the baby.

The latest is a report saying that she was inseminated from J. Howard Marshall, the much older rich man who died over a decade ago. That's the subject of the battle over his almost a half a billion dollar estate.

There's also a report that the baby is now with Howard K. Stern in Florida, but Bahamian officials claim the baby is still in that country.

For there to be 20 potential fathers, they would have all had to be with her during that very short length of time when she would have been fertile.

The widespread consensus last night after his "press conference" in his driveway is that he's full of it and is not credible. I don't know much about his history either, but I heard earlier today that this isn't the first time he's tried to get media attention off a big story. Sounds like he's crazy.

I tend to agree with the "crazy" consensus (sp?). I heard something briefly that he made the inital claim and then was toying with the media. Saying something along the lines of "maybe I am, maybe I'm not and I'll tell you whenever I feel the need to". What an inappropriate time and circumstance to be playing games like that. That says alot about his character right there.

I caught this really late last night on the repeat and just had to find the transcript. From Anderson Cooper 360:

COOPER: Well, since this story broke, it immediately began to take on elements of a circus. And, today, it seems, they sent in a clown, a man who calls himself Prince Frederick von Anhalt, the latest Mr. Zsa Zsa Gabor.

He held a news conference -- you saw part of it in Brooke's piece -- claiming he had an affair with Anna Nicole Smith and might just be the father of her baby. It was one of the stranger news conferences we have seen in recent months.

I'm liking Stern less and less. And I never liked him to begin with. Who is he to try to keep that baby from his maternal grandmother? We don't even know if he's the father! The best thing that can happen to that little girl is if he's not her father. I hope Anna's mom gets herself a good lawyer. It doesn't seem like she has alot of money, but with the amount of publicity this case will generate, I'm sure there are a bunch that would do it pro-bono, or make some other deal with her.

As for Rosie....don't even get me started. I may end up getting myself banned.

From what I understand, Anna didn't want her mother to have anything to do with her baby (interview I watched with Anna done just weeks before her death). They need to get this DNA thing done so they know who the father is. I feel sorry for this baby - because it would seem everyone, including her maternal grandmother, may be in this for the money and not the well-being of this tiny girl.

Rita Cosby exclusively on MSNBC a moment ago: Anna Nicole had had 2 surgeries since the baby was born including a recent breat augmentation surgery. She was apparently prescribed 10(TEN!) painkillers due to extreme pain as a result of the surgery, and they speculate that that is what killed her. I guess she took them all at once or something...

She's an ex-police officer. I think if she wants to fight(and I believe she does), that she will. Anna said some very ugly things about her mom after Daniel's death, and the hatred likely stems from that. She more or less blamed Howard for his death and had, ironically, predicted that Anna Nicole would be next if she didn't change her ways.

Ok, if the painkiller claim is correct, they need to do something about the doctor that prescribed those pills. That's beyond negligence. Especially since he/she had to know about Anna's past history with addiction.

I didn't know that Anna felt so strongly about her mother. What are the chances that Stern did a little brainwashing? If she was as spacey as she seemed, it probably wouldn't be hard to influence her. I just can't help but think that he was the most toxic person around her.

Whatever her mother's motives are, she's one of the only people we know to be a blood relative of little Danielynn (sp?). Legally, I would think that holds alot of weight, correct?

How horrible that this little 5 month old is the ultimate victim in this. What has been the impression of Larry and his motives? On the surface, he seemed to have really loved Anna.

That Larry guy? The one thing I will say is he seems to have been fighting to prove he is the father since the child was born. Maybe his motives are pure and I've just become far too cynical

Of course, I cannot help but notice that Stern is sitting next to her, so you could be on to something. Her friends and family that have been interviewed say that her life took a bad turn when the relationship started between them.

There's a picture of the baby with Stern on the front page of today's NY Post. It's interesting to note that he said it's Anna Nicole's baby, not specifically his.
