Lost[New]
9 pm/ET, ABC
Last time (which was three weeks ago — a long time for Lost fans to wait), when Claire went off into the jungle on her memory-regaining odyssey, she left the ailing Aaron in Sun's care. Well let's hope Sun learned something about babies, because she has something important to tell Jin tonight. In Other news, captive balloonist Henry Gale hasn't cracked yet, assuming he has anything to cough up. But he hasn't faced Ana Lucia yet, either. — Paul Droesch

Is Lost's Jin Going to Be a Dad?
by Matt Webb Mitovich
Does Sun have a bun... in the oven? That is the question fans of ABC's Lost (Wednesdays at 9 pm/ET) have been left to ponder in the wake of the latest promo, which has Jin's honey raiding Sawyer's stash for a pregnancy test. Is our population of castaways going to increase by one? TVGuide.com spoke to Daniel Dae Kim about the prospect of Jin celebrating Father's Day on the island, his 24 encore and more.
TVGuide.com: In this week's episode, "The Whole Truth," what story is Lost telling?
Daniel Dae Kim: You're going to see another chapter in Jin and Sun's story that complicates their history. You're also going to see on the island an event that changes their future.
TVGuide.com: The promos show Sun asking Sawyer for a pregnancy-test kit. Is that a big part of what happens?
Kim: Yeah. That's one of the big questions: Why is she looking for the pregnancy test and what might the result be?
TVGuide.com: Is this possible pregnancy the outcome of something Sun and Jin did before the flight, or have they been enjoying some off-screen, behind-the-palm-trees nookie?
Kim: [Laughs] Well, since they reunited, they have "found a new appreciation for each other." Let's put it that way.
TVGuide.com: Does Jin appear in the episode's flashbacks, or are they primarily about Sun?
Kim: It's more Sun's story this week, but Jin plays a pretty pivotal role. It seems like our history is always tied together somehow.
TVGuide.com: How does what happens change the dynamic between them?
Kim: It will be majorly different. Let me put it another way: Something significant happens that's going to change the course of their relationship. Watching them and how they have interacted since reuniting will prove to have been worthwhile, because you'll soon see them interacting on a different level.
TVGuide.com: OK, but Jin's not going to be speaking perfect English by the end of the episode, is he?
Kim: Not that I know of. [Laughs] But who knows!
TVGuide.com: Were you relieved or disappointed that the second round of Jin-Sun flashbacks softened up your character a bit? The first flashbacks painted him as a ruthless sort.
Kim: The great thing about this show is that with every flashback we learn something more about each character. Just like in my experiences with real people, no one person is all good and no one person is all bad. As you learn everyone's history, you start seeing them as more than just a "good guy" or a "bad guy."
TVGuide.com: What sort of new doors have been opened for you since Lost started?
Kim: It's been good. In terms of trying to find a project over the hiatus, I've been meeting a lot of people, and I feel like Lost has really increased my profile a little bit. It's a great show — well written and well acted. I'm glad the people in the industry enjoy it.
TVGuide.com: Are you one of Jorge Garcia's poker buddies?
Kim: Yeah, I am. Jorge and I are probably the two most enthusiastic poker players in the cast.
TVGuide.com: Jorge told me that what he wants to do with his Lost raise is buy one of those professional-quality automatic card shufflers like they have in Vegas, which can handle a couple of decks at once.
Kim: Yeah, we tried out a couple of the ones you can buy in the stores and they don't work too well.
TVGuide.com: Who are the big winners at the games?
Kim: Jorge's won once, I've won once, Josh [Holloway] has won once.... Harold [Perrineau, Michael] bets big. [Laughs] Cynthia Watros (Libby) has played with us.
TVGuide.com: Oh, the girls get invited, too?
Kim: The women are always invited, it's just a matter of whether they'd like to participate. It's a great way for all of us to get together and spend time doing something not related to the show.
TVGuide.com: What have been the best and worst parts of shooting a TV show in Hawaii?
Kim: The best part about shooting in Hawaii is that it's Hawaii. [Laughs] People make it their goal to live in a place like that, and we not only get to live there but we have incredible jobs there. The worst part is being so far from my family and friends on the mainland.
TVGuide.com: When I honeymooned in Maui, I was initially skeptical about why all the locals were so friendly. Then it hit me — they live and work in Hawaii. Of course they're happy!
Kim: I think you hit it on the head. There's a reason it's called paradise.
TVGuide.com: How many episodes does Lost have left to shoot?
Kim: I think we're shooting Episode 20 now, so we've got three or four more to go.
TVGuide.com: The producers have said that a May sweeps episode — perhaps the season finale — will reveal the exact reason Oceanic Flight 815 crashed. Are you excited to have that question answered for yourself?
Kim: Anything I can learn about the story line and what's going to happen in the future is welcome.
TVGuide.com: I understand that you reprised your role of SWAT team leader Tom Baker for the recently released 24 video game?
Kim: Yes, I recorded a part for the game and I was really thrilled to be able to do it. I loved my time on 24. I appreciated it and thought I was really lucky, because it's another show like Lost — very well written and well acted. To be a part of the video game made me feel a little more like a part of their family.
TVGuide.com: Do you keep tabs on 24?
Kim: I haven't, because it's a show I'd rather watch on DVD, to be honest with you. I feel like a bit of a junkie — I have to get my fix really quick.
TVGuide.com: You were featured in People's last "Sexiest Man Alive" issue. In retrospect, do you think there's anything you could have done to beat Matthew McConaughey for the 2005 title?
Kim: [Laughs] It's just an honor to be nominated.

Question: Can you give us any more spoilers for Lost? Any at all for the upcoming episodes? — Tiana
Ausiello: Major-ass prattle-poop: You remember how Carlton Cuse told me in the Dec. 7 Ask Ausiello that there wouldn't be time for a Rose/Bernard flashback episode this season? Well, looks like he found some time. My Lost mole confirms that a May-sweeps episode will delve into the couple's backstory. And not only will we find out how the lovebirds met, but we'll discover that Rose has something rather surprising in common with Locke. Any guesses?
Question: Marry me? Or at least give me some good Lost spoilers. — Amanda
Ausiello: I'm too focused on my career right now to even consider settling down, so here's some Lost scoop: Something big is going to happen later this season, and it's the kind of thing that will have people talking for days weeks months. Can't say more than that because a very powerful person promised to make it worth my (and, by extension, your) while if I didn't. Of course, it'll probably leak out some other way, but, until then, my lips are sealed tighter than Janice Dickinson's laugh lines.
uestion: Any sign of Michael or Walt on Lost? — Gene
Ausiello: As I mentioned in Friday's Ausiello Report, Michael will show up during May sweeps. Not sure about his rapidly aging offspring.
Question: Admit it: You have a man-crush on Josh Holloway. — Clarissa
Ausiello: Not so much, actually. Matthew Fox? Sure. Donald Faison? Definitely. Wentworth Miller? Um, duh. But Josh? I don't see it.

Garrett - LOL Yeah I hear ya......I'm just slightly hooked too. Naw, who am I kidding, the world just about stops here @ 9 p.m. when there's a new episode on. That phone better not ring, cause we're not here!!!
Promos want us to think Sun is pregnant. Something tells me these teasers are so obvious. Almost too obvious? Part of me wants to trust these promos but then another says watch it be Kate or Claire. Someone you'd never expect to pop up pregnant (just yet anyway). In the past I've trusted promos and they've turned out to be very misleading, putting scenes together that were separate when the episode aired. And what you assumed would happen didn't. Hope I'm making sense!
Kate preggers......now THAT would be a story! Oh yeah......

Hope I'm making sense!
Kate preggers......now THAT would be a story! Oh yeah......

During this unwanted "break" with no new episodes, I watched this whole season so far again with my sister, catching her up. She had the same problems as I did, because of Rita. Anyway, that look that "Henry" gave Sayid is stuck in my head. It was creepy.
Funny how obvious some things are the second time around.

My sister's name is Wendy. She's been watching since the beginning of Season 1 and is the one who got me hooked on it. I started watching after it had been on a few months and played catch up with the reruns over the Christmas break in 2004. Fortunately, I think I only ended up missing one episode at the time, and read about it on the episode guide, etc. Since then, I've gotten the first season on DVD. It's been killing her to miss, but like me, she had to start from the beginning and due to many reasons, has just now been able to catch up! She got spoiled like I did though and this week to week ONE hour at a time is just not enough!
She's been reading Storm2k since the beginning, mostly the weather side, but she's not really a posting kinda girl. She's a member, but I think she only has one post. lol
I can't wait for tonight's show either!!

Yeppers, I do not trust Henry Gale, at all!
But promos show Ana Lucia spotting the balloon. So that's confusing.
Last night's show thoughts:
2. I'm glad Jin is the father. I was back to not liking him when he destroyed Sun's garden. It's a darn good thing he replanted his "mistake".
3. Charlie asking Ana Lucia if she was checking out his bum!!! So funny. I've missed the old Charlie. He always caught things like this although this time he was wrong. Sooooo, are we to assume b/c he's tight with Sawyer now, he was able to either have a gun all along or ask for one quickly, for this search?
4. Sawyer and the Judy Bloom book - another hilarious moment. He does seem to have a soft spot for the women. When they ask so sweetly for something, like Sun did. BUT, he cannot keep a secret. That beach scene when he's blabbing all, was very Sawyer like.
5. I loved Ana Lucia's comment about Jack and Locke being worried about Jack and Locke. So true. Those two better decide if they're on the same side or not. And work together.
6. I loved how Kate sat with Sun, waiting for the pregnancy test results. I was not at all surprised Kate thought she was pregnant once, in the past.
7. Rose and Bernard bickering - cute.
AND now to my favorite Lost moment, drumroll please.....sunny, are ya with me?
Number 1: Jack and the shower scene - hubba, hubba!

Lost
At least someone on the island asked the question that has been plaguing me since I saw the preview for this episode a couple weeks ago. Who the heck would carry a pregnancy test on an airplane? It's usually the kind of thing that most people prefer to do in the privacy of their own homes rather than a mile high or while on vacation. And is Widmore Labs a real company, or is that another clue of some sort? Anyway Sun's preggers and that's cool because Jin aka "Daddio" seemed so happy about it. But the look on Sun's face after tell Jin made me think maybe she wasn't being entirely truthful about never being with another man. I mean, that whole back story with her English speaking rich ex had to mean something. That said, if I want to naively belive the best of Sun it wouldn't be so impossible as mystery island is known for its odd miracles, like Locke's sudden ability to walk and candy bars that don't melt in the tropics. Oh and did any one else catch the code on the cereal box — FFTR731? What does that mean, perhaps it is some sort of expiration date? Creepy Henry Gale did ask if they knew how old the cereal was... right before he alluded to a potential threat facing Ana-Lucia, Sayid and Charlie out in the jungle. Sure he could be just messing with Jack and Locke, but to what end if he isn't an Other? Though those sneaky writers are probably just trying to make me think that he really isn't bad and maybe he's good, but that seems too obvious... I'm just going with the fact that either way he's kinda messed up and more than a little weird and just wait to see what his deal really is.
Some other random observations and thoughts? I love the little outsider crew of Sayid, Charlie and Ana-Lucia. Only people who everyone else is wary of would band together for a jungle trek. Loved when Charlie came out of the jungle with papayas. I was waiting for him to ask if Sayid knew about second breakfast. And though Jack is supposedly spending a lot more time in the hatch, why did he suddenly look sunburned? How cute was Bernard trying to find an oyster with a pearl to make up for forgetting Rose's birthday? But the best line of the night was Sawyer's assessment of one of my favorite teen books, Are You There God? It's Me Margaret: "Predictable and not nearly enough sex." I'm sure as an adult that would probably be my thought too, but I wouldn't be surprised if he starts trying to convince Kate to do the "I must, I must, I must increase my bust exercises." — Angel Cohn

I have a question......
How many other TV shows had time move as slowly as Lost does?
For example when Ana Lucia told Sayid that no one likes her and it's only been a week, I did a whoa, it's only been a week? I knew it wasn't months but it would be nice if at the beginning of each episode it said - Day 62 or Day 70. Then we'd know okay, only 3 days has passed from the last new episode. Also, with reruns sandwiched in between new ones, it gets very confusing.
I think we all realized time was moving extremely slowly on Lost but now I'm wondering how many other shows moved this slowly? On Gilligan's Island it was years. Since the actors aged.
I just can't think of another show that possibly spanned a month or two, for the entire season! Can you?
Thanks.

The Whole Truth
Air Date: 03/22/2006
When Sun starts feeling nauseous and dizzy, she takes a home pregnancy test to learn that she is in fact, pregnant. But instead of being happy about the news, Sun looks conflicted, and we find out why through her flashbacks...
...which tell the story of a time in Sun and Jin's relationship when Jin wanted desperately to conceive a child, hoping it might bring an end to the constant pressure put upon him by Sun's father, while Sun was off taking English lessons from Jae Lee and planning her escape to America.
Since they haven't had any luck conceiving, Jin suggests that they visit a fertility specialist. The specialist tells them that Sun has endometriosis and that their chances of conceiving are impossible, news that clearly upsets Jin more than it does Sun.
Sun confesses to Jae Lee that she feels relieved about not being able to conceive and confides that she was planning on leaving Jin for America. And while their relationship is that of teacher and student, it's clear that Jae Lee would like it to be more when he encourages her to stay in Korea with him.
Back on the island, Sun finally tells Jin that she's pregnant, to which Jin reacts with pure joy. But Sun has one last thing to reveal -- in the final flashback we learn that the doctor lied to Sun and Jin out of fear of the Paik family, assigning the problem to Sun when in fact it is Jin who is sterile.
Sun swears to Jin that she has never been with another man. Jin accepts her word and declares that the pregnancy must be a miracle. Tears of joy roll down his face, but the look on Sun's face tells us that we can't be entirely sure we've heard the whole truth…
Meanwhile, Locke enlists Ana Lucia's help in interrogating Henry, against Jack's better wishes. But Ana Lucia is able to accomplish something none of them have…she earns Henry's trust and gets him to draw her a map to the location of his alleged balloon crash. Feeling betrayed that Jack wasn't the one to tell her about Henry, she enlists the help of Sayid and Charlie to go out and find the balloon.

Mary ... I just watched the eppy last night as I couldn't watch it on wednesday
. Anyway I want kill that Henry guy myself. I knew he story was bogus from the beginning because anyone living on that island could have known that the balloon was there. Why did they only bring one gun? At the end when jerkface henry was saying about ohhh if i was one of the others I would blah blah blah blah. Just shoot the guy already and send his body back to the others. I was happy the sun and jin made up that was really great I don't think I could have taken one more week with them fighting all the time. Funny how they tried to make you think sun was cheating with him on. I also thought it was funny when jin was listening to sawyer and "can't remember his name" talking and I was thinking is that what we sound like to people who can't speak english. Either way I saw the promo for next week and it looks to be exciting.

Just remember if you see another episode if you have a chance watch the episode from the last week and you will remember and not be suprised. That is what I have been doing.
