Israeli-Arab gunman goes on murder spree

Yoni was on Hewitt yesterday. This was the first yeshiva started by a Zionist Ashkenazi rabbi long before the formation of Israel, and, as such, is close to the hearts of religious and patriotic Israelis. Yoni compared this to a gunman shooting priests in Vatican City.

Of course, a Turkish Muslim did shoot, and almost killed, a very important Catholic priest in Vatican City, but he was apparently motivated by the Bulgarian and Soviet espionage establishment, not Islam.

BTW, the Arabs (and their children) that didn't flee the part of the British mandate of 'Palestine' called Israel to allow what they thought would be conquering Arab armies a free path to crush the newly formed Israel, are Israeli citizens, with full voting rights, and some Israeli Arabs, even those who preach the destruction of Israel, serve as MKs.

Most of the disputed parts of 'Palestine', the so called 'Occupied Territories', were parts of either Jordan or Egypt before the 1968 Arab attack, and were captured by Israel in a defensive war.

Sources point to Iran's foreign legion, Hezb'Allah, as behind massacre.

It will be difficult to retaliate. Not retaliating emboldens Hezb'Allah, but under the not very watchful eyes of the UN peacekeepers, Hezb'Allah has restocked on Iranian supplied rockets and missiles capable of reaching much of Northern Israel, and an attack on their positions in Lebanon could trigger more attacks.

Sadly, the Olmert Cabinet is not really a war cabinet. But even if it were, the choices are difficult.
