Of course, dear lady, I join the others in welcoming you back. Even though I frequent this place, I'm more like a fly on the wall these days than the one time night janitor (who heard nothing, saw nothing, and told no one!) at the lady's S2k bar in my early years.

I hope life opens up for you and your family in wonderful ways in the weeks and months ahead.

Your words spoke to me, you know. And your heart etched an explanation point on a whole lot of us when you left for South Africa.

Again, welcome back.

The ladies S2K bar!! LOL

Okay, breeze/Annette, that's your cue - I think we need a pitcher of your infamous Margarita's!!!! Steve started it.......we'll pour you one Steve.

Amanzi - you had to have known we'd never forget you, not in a million years! Welcome back, again.......

Aww shucks guys

Stooge...that avatar of yours never ceases to make me smile!
Miss Mary..I hang my head in shame...I have not had a 'rita in a very long time (where are you hiding Annette)?
Karen it is wonderful to see you here again :D

And of course my dear dear friend Steve... ahhh all I can do is grin :D :D :D

Well here is some info .... if your bored read on, if you have better things to do...off you go

I have to say, that I miss America more than I ever thought possibly human! It is a terrible sense, as if I lost a very deep part of something, and I do think the fact that I am unable to return makes me feel like a child looking into a snow globe with a whistfull look on my face.

My parents were of course very happy to have me back and the kids 2. God's hand was so very evident in why I had to return. My folks as some of you know had a very difficult time and lost there home. 2 days after I returned to South Africa, they were told they had to leave the place of safety they were staying at, if we had not been back, where would they have gone? I see the hand of the Lord in that one :D As a result, of a whole bunch of things....my father was set up with a business, car and funding through a friend of my husbands, once again, if we were not there it would never have come to fruition.

This was honestly a very hard and draining time for me. My heart grieves for the state of South Africa and Africa in general, I shall not go into my political rantings....oooohhh I can rant good  Anyway, the time spent with my family was fantastic, but our safety and future prospects led me to believe we were being led to another shore. My husband was held at gunpoint, my sister in law had her house broken into more times than I have toes and things are just rather bleak on that very sad part of the planet. I began to pray, the Lord answered, my husband got the first job he intviewed for! I must just share this though! I stood with our completed applications for our visas (for the UK) in my hands and prayed "Lord, if you will us to go, I want your stamp of approval, no-one elses". I got our passports back exactly 24 hours later with the visas attatched...much to the consternation of the clerk working in the office, who told me that never in ten years he had been working there had that happened, the quickest he ever experienced was 1 week! So my little miracles continue :D

So here I am in England (shock to the system after South Africa and Florida). Hubby has a good job, kids are in a good school, I feel safe and can sleep without a fire arm or bars on my windows. I miss my parents, but I know they are in very good and large hands
