A primary school in Shifang County, Sichuan Province, the bookbags have been brought out by the firefighters but their owners are all dead and missing.

Chengdu, Sichuan. Outside the Sichuan Provincial Hospital, the nurses established a temporary baby care site.

"Who's the relative of the child?" shouted the woman, the parents of the child were both killed in the quake.

The rescuers are carrying the girl just saved to hospital

Beichuan County, where more than 6000 were killed, a girl was about to be rescued. She was lucky enough.

Huixian, Gansu Province. Fearing that aftershock may occur, people set up tends to live in.

Mianzhu, Sichuan. The mother told her child, still trapped in ruins, to be calm and patient waiting for the arrival of the rescuers.

Really sad. :( :cry: My condolences and thoughts are with the people who lost loved ones in this earthquake in China. I cannot imagine the pain and suffering they are going through. School should be a safe place for the children. Sadly too many have died in the earthquake. Losing a child is really painful for anyone.
