What's Your Favorite Environmental Movie?

Is your favorite environmental movie Waterworld, Pelican Brief, China Syndrome or maybe Free Willy?

More Recent Environmental Movies:

~ Transformers - a kids action movie about robots who invade the earth and find it's an environmental disater.
~ Avatar- a James Cameron movie about humans raiding of the planets because the Earth has run out of natural resources.
~The Children of Men - about post-apocalyptic infertility
~ 28 Weeks Later - which features an unstoppable virus, have chosesn to dwell in a morose future
~The Day After Tomorrow - thrilled with a climate - changed theme.
~An Inconvenient Truth - a global warming documentary.
~Syrina - the distrubing effects of global oil addiction.

Them 1954; the fall out from nuclear bomb testing in the desert SW create giant killer ants. What can I say, I like classic sci-fi. Also it isn't one of those super preachy environmental movies, which I really hate.

"The day after tomorrow", I think it will truly happen if we still do nothing to control the global warming.

Certainly not Day After Tomorrow. That movie was unintentionally hilarious.

I guess I don't have a favorite, never put much thought into it.

Hollywood certainly is a fair and unbiased source of information, and their standards of scientific truth are impeccable.

War of the worlds..1950's version. Best part was when the flying wing nuked the Martians but it didn't hurt them.....MGC

That was due to their impenetrable force-field..:ggreen: well it reminds of the film Independence Day...and the Martian Attack..

"The Day After Tomorrow". Though a strong storm system in New York City is possible, it is impossible to freeze all the precipitation in the next few hours after impact.

How do you explain the mammoth frozen with food in its mouth? Did they make that up?
