London revelers mark drink ban with subway chaos

Reminds me of something I saw, the nannies at MAD (and, BTW, I am all for stiff prison sentences for repeat DWIs, the news stories of a 10 time convicted drunk driver killing kids and families infuriate me, but I think 0.08 (2 or 3 beers) BAC laws are ridiculous) were working to kill the "bar car" on the LIRR about a year ago. The ride from Penn Station to Babylon, the end of the electrified section (unless they extended it in the last 20 years) is almost two hours, and a commuter drinking a beer or a cocktail is a drunken hazard? Give me a break.

That was pretty funny really, and a typically English thing to do.
