The hubby called me to tell me he needed ink and I also need ink and I was wondering if anyone had ever gone to "Ink Spot" or one of them to have their printer ink refilled? We used to have one of those refill-it-yourself-at-home kits but it grew legs and walked and I can't find them anymore around here (ever since CompUSA closed their stores here)
Any responses are appreciated!
Are those ink refill places any good?

Wow, I didn't know there was speciality stores like the "Ink Spot" lol
I used to get mine filled at Office Depot but they stopped doing it.
I now use Walgreens, they have the machine that does it there. I have done it about 3 times over the past 2 years and haven't had a problem yet. However I don't think they fill them as full as they would be if new, but its half the cost of new if not less than half. Only 10 bucks to do my black and 15 to do the color. I will never buy new again unless I have to, which actually last time I did have to buy new color. They can only fill them a few times before it doesn't work as well anymore or like mine it had another malfunction, and couldn't be filled. But that was the first time I have had any issues. I highly recommend you try it. New just cost way too much for me over here with 3 kiddies wanting to print every little thing they make on the computer. Good luck.
Oh and if you decide to do it put your cartridges in a plastic baggie and try not to touch the end or the metal thingy.
I think that what was messed up on my color was that metal thingy that tells the computer what to do. LOL
