Britney's "Womanizer" #1 in over 7 countries

Britney Spears' "Womanizer" Hits the Airwaves

First a snippet of it was leaked. Then its release got pushed back. And now, finally, Britney Spears' new song, "Womanizer," has arrived.

The tune is the first single off Brit's upcoming album, Circus, due out Dec. 2—her 27th birthday.

Earlier this week, the pop princess shot the song's music video at L.A. hot spot Elevate and in the kitchen of the hip eatery Takami Sushi & Robata.

A source tells E! News that despite paparazzi pics of the singer leaving the set wearing a short black wig, she actually dons a long black wig for the video, adding, "Britney was wearing tight leather pants and a tuxedo top and vest, and she had fake tattoos running up and down her arms."

So take a listen to the new track, which debuted this morning on Z100 in New York, and let us know if was worth the wait.

Catchy song and nice rhythm. If you don't like Britney, you will most likely not like the song. Don't expect a Grammy or anything like that. At least it's good to see that her life is coming back to normal. Good for her and for the kids.

Nothing against her personally, but I have never thought she had any talent. She is good looking, but she really can't sing, and her songs are so heavily produced, with obvious vocal alteration, it is apparent her management knows it as well. I think she represents the ultimate M-TV-ization of pop music, style over music.

I'm no fan of the general modern pop style, including Christina Aguilera, but at least Aguilera has a good singing voice.

But to each his own.

The CD Player in my car kinda failed me going down the road, so the radio kicked on, and this song was just starting. I listened to about 10 seconds of it before losing my will to live and shut the radio off.

"As of September 29 just after three days of its airplay release the song peaked at number #1 in over 7 countries including Australia, Argentina, Thailand and Chile, and it has become a top ten airplay hit in Mexico and the world, the song is currently at number 72 in U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Airplay."

"Airplay success

The single has broken airplay records in more than seven countries including Australia, Argentina, Chile, France, Thailand, Hungary, and Slovak when it debuted at number one in those countries' airplay charts. This is the first time that any single debuts at the top of the chart in those countries. In Mexico it debuted at number seven breaking the record by Céline Dion's "Because You Loved Me" which debuted at number 10 back in 1996. In the United States it entered in the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay in just three days, becoming the fastest single to chart in that category. It has also managed to enter at number 3 in the World Pop Airplay Chart. In Japan and Canada it has managed to be a top 30 hit single due to its strong airplay. At the U.K Airplay Chart it debuted at number 80 and in less than 24-hours it managed to peak at number 37."

Listening to pop music doesn't mean that you don't like any other music. I listen to almost all kinds of music, including classical. Beethoven's Ninth is magnificent. The same with Bach and others of their time.

Just to clear things!!
