"NOT AGAIN?!?!?"

#1 Postby azsnowman » Thu Aug 14, 2003 11:46 am

Well......here we go AGAIN :grr: Another large fire burning on the Fort Apache Reservation....the *Red Dog Fire* started late yesterday afternoon, lightning caused fire, very unusual fire behavior was witnessed last night as the fire grew from 2 acres to just over 500 acres as of 0915 :o The Red Dog fire is taking the SAME course as the Rodeo Fire, in fact, parts of the fire is burning IN the Rodeo Fire area, all the grasses that were planted last year have turned tinder box dry, hence the reason for the fast forward movement  "IF" this fire crosses U.S. Hwy 60 NE of Carrizzo Junction, this SOB could VERY well come roaring up the Rim towards Pinetop :o I am SOOOOOO sick of all these damn fires and the stress it's causing, if it's Gods will, let's burn EVERYTHING down so we don't have to worry about this crap anymore :grr: And NO......what LITTLE rain we have received has done NUTHIN' for the fire danger, if nuthin' else, it's made it worse, causing all the grasses to grow, that along with the recent heat wave and winds......well, need I say more?? I'll keep you posted.

Now I know how it feels to live in tornado alley, the gulf coast.......having that threat hanging over your head day after day until the season ends!

We have winds out of the SW at the moment which AIN'T GOOD........the ONLY saving grace to this whole situation is the low that's suppose to blow in tonight, we have a 70% chance of HEAVY rain, let's HOPE and PRAY this happens if not.........my goose is cooked!
