Sad to hear your lost. My family also has a cat, Tita María. She came to us from a previous owner, had a collar with the name and was already neutered. No one claimed her and we kept it. TM is not very friendly, she doesn't like anyone to touch her and only eats cereal for cats. Any other type of food is completely ignored.

I always grew up with pets, and understand the loss when one dies.

Not that a new pet can ever replace the previous one, as they all have their own personalities just like people, but a new kitten rescued from a shelter could really help to relieve the pain of grieving, especially for your child.

Another cat came to our house a couple of weeks ago before Tabitha went down hill. So now we have 2 cats instead of one. Eventhough she can never replace her in my wifes heart, but this new cat is a good cat

I am so sorry for your family's loss of Tabitha! I lost two in August within 11 days of each other. Both were old, 18 and 20 and had cancer. I understand your grief. Tabitha will always be with you!
