periodically they auction off machines at my work that are not up to speed with all the latest applications, but are fine for home use.

I won this one for $45.00: #388 Mid size black LDG built tower, Windows XP Pro w/SP3, Intel Pentium IV 3.0GHz processor, 1Gb of memory, NVidia Geforce FX5900XT AGP video card with 128Mb RAM,Sound Max integrated audio, 35Gb server grade "Raptor" hard drive,100/1000 Mb Network connection, DVD & Floppy drives.built 9/15/2004

Nice, especially for $45. Put a little bit of money in it, and I'm sure it could be a really nice computer (maybe some more ram, depending on what will be done with it). where can I get in on these? :lol:

That is an amazing deal for $45...probably the best item $45 can buy at that.

No, I don't know if I'll get to it any time soon. Maybe if I lost my job or got a divorce or something.
