We all know that Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus, but almost all of us also give and recieve gifts as part of that clebration. Tell us what you received that was special or unique this year.
I received 2 special gifts this year. First was being able to celebrate this Christmas with four generations of my family-My Mom, me, my daughter and my Granddaughter.
The second was a pocket weather station which has barometric pressure(hg or mb), temp(F or C), max and min temp, altitude mode, clock, etc. Really a neat little gadget to have, especially during a hurricane(don't want to use it during one, but..)so I can see what the pressure is.
Did you get anything special as a Christmas gift?

Got myself a new camera lens and Desean Jackson jersey. And got to spend some time with my one year old niece who I don't see often since I'm away at college.

We were also fortunate to have 4 generations sitting at the Christmas dinner table. It was comforting to see my mother in law so pleased that all her daughters and grand children traveled to be under her roof on Christmas Day.
There is one special gift that did not arrive on time. It's coming from a life long friend that has also been a steady client for 25 years. I expect it will arrive today or Monday. Subtle hints have been dropped over the last few months. I'll admit it's got me both excited and nervous. We'll just have to wait and see.

That's great.

Nothing in particular - except for a dragonfly pin that my nephew Mason picked out for me. It was just a nice Christmas overall.

I spent the afternoon with my late sister's husband and children (and his brother, and my nephew's wife and baby) - for several reasons it's very likely that this was the last Christmas that we were all together, so it was good to have everyone all under one roof, and a good time was had by all, so that was a gift unto itself...
As for gift gifts (lol) - I did get one of those Visa Vanilla cards - very handy when it comes to buying my Sunday morning coffee at McDonalds (lol)...
Frank
P.S. Congratulations, pojo - as an old friend of mine would say - low and slow...
