Per CNN: Singer #AmyWinehouse, who reportedly was found dead Saturday, had recently left a rehab program. http://t.co/s750lfs

I hope she has found the peace in her life she was seeking.

Addiction is soooo hard to overcome. Someone close to me struggles everyday to stay clean. I was addicted to cigarettes for almost 40 years. It took cancer to make me quit.

Very sad indeed. The recent news stories of her having to walk out of her own concerts was very alarming. I hope her mind and soul are in a better place now.

It's a darn shame. I pretty much knew her downward spiral would lead to this.

Many thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends in this tragic time.

It is so sad when a talent like hers is destroyed by addictions. Unfortunately, I don't think this is a surprise to anyone. May she RIP.

My thoughts exactly. Lindsay Lohan, I hope this has given you that wake up call!

What a damn shame! You always hope they'll overcome. She just cancelled her tour after being booed off stage in Serbia. I think it was an overdose. Another 20 something talent just lost.

RIP Amy.

I remember back around 2007 or 2008 there was an increase in the media coverage of Amy Winehouse and a lot of people thought she was a goner. This is odd timing to say the least and consides to how Charlie Sheen and others could end up quickly.

Wow, back in an Amy Winehouse thread in 2008, I said this:

I have a bad feeling she might end up a part of the "27 Club".

If I was heartless enough to bet in death pools, she'd of been the first person I'd of put big money on.

Addiction is a terrible disease...

I was reading the night the news broke Lindsay Lohan went out and got so smashed at some bar that she couldn't stand up on her own. These people never learn. Maybe I'm not as sympathetic as I should be, but these people reach a pinnacle of success most of us can only dream of and then they throw it all away. It's all about perspective. Instead of waking up every day smiling to be themselves, they start on this "fame is hard" spiral and end up throwing their lives away.

Most of "these" people reach a level of success so fast that they can't handle it.

Addiction is a terrible disease...

Again, what a waste of a life and good talent.
