A scary situation yesterday.

Yesterday afternoon while out on afternoon crossing duty, the Polk County Sheriff's Office's helicopter was hovering over the grassy field that belongs to the Crystal Lake Middle School campus. It would hover and then circle around the field. They were looking for some one in the neighbor hood that backs up to fence there.While the kids wee leaving, a swat team member drove up and parked in the driveway of the grassy field. he got out and he put on his tactical vest. Then he moved his car to make it look like he was a parent picking up an elementary school kid. This went on for at least 25 minutes. But between 3:15 and 3:20 pm the helicopter left and didn't come back.

I found out this morning that it was someone had a AK57 gun and was seen running around that neighborhood. He had threatened to shoot a baby. Not sure why. But they caught him and that is why the helicopter left. I am glad that no one was hurt at the schools because both schools were on lock down.

This kind of thing makes me so mad!! I have to stop here or ban myself for crossing lines we have set here at S2k.
