Sad news about a great friend, member and former Moderator
I am sorry to report that AZsnowman, Dennis Denton, had passed away yesterday morning. He had recently been diagnosed with cancer. He was the original author of
the "Sitting on the Front Porch" thread.
He was very involved with local search and rescue efforts in Pinetop, AZ with his "Mutley Crew" and his wife. He was a veteran of the Navy and a police offer of Pinetop, AZ. He loved his garden and hot chili peppers and his home in the mountains, excitedly posting pictures of the beautiful landscape blanketed in white snow.
May you rest in peace, Dennis and know that you will be missed.

I will miss Dennis deeply even though I never met him in person. We had a special bond and called each other 'brother" and meant it. May you RIP brother.

. What happened during his recovery in the last months?
I see there has been a lot of bad news surrounding S2K members in these last few months.
He was recovering from surgery on his foot from diabetes and I think he actually had a partial amputation. During this time he had been diagnosed with cancer. He was given 6 months to live. Fortunately, he didn't have to suffer. It just sucks.
