National Grandparents Day

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Thu Sep 04, 2003 9:01 pm

Just wanted to let everyone know that Sept. 7th is Grandparents day. My children spend the day with my parents.

There are lots of Grandparents raising their Grandchildren too. They all should be commended.

Great reminder Linda!

I wish mine were still alive. I was pretty fortunate to have grown up with all four of them until I was in my mid 20's.

I too, wish I still had my grandparents.....both sides of the family have gone on ahead to prepare us a house in Glory! It's sad, us baby boomers are loosing the generation before us......

Happy GrandParents Day Poppy Sky and all the other poppys and nana's

Thanks Dennis... I didn't realize we had a National Grandparents Day, but I can tell you it is a celebration of our granddaughter that makes this a special one. Right now she doesn't know us as grandparents, just people who give hugs and make her laugh.

Thanks for the reminder! Why isn't Grandparent's Day celebrated as much as other holiday's like mother's day and father's day and so forth?

I have no idea mrschad. I wish it was acknowledged more. There is also a sister's day at the end of July. I send my sisters something every year.
