My Storm2K opinion, 6 months later.....

Now bear with me folks.....I'm a TWC Chat Room Veteran.....I used to think TWC's chat room was THE place to be when a hurricane was looming ahead. Up to the minute stats, info, etc. OCM's popping in occasionally. Okay, that said.....

I now think Storm2K's the place to be!!! Pop in over at the Tropics board and you'll spend an hour easily over there, just reading topic after topic. Reply after reply. Check in the next day and a whole new page of topics is there! I haven't been to Chat lately but if the Tropics board is any indication of the flurry of activity here, Chat's gotta be one busy place!

That's right!!! Storm2K has beaten TWC, hands down....well, IMHO it has. I've been a member here over 6 months now. I am astounded at the way this site has grown. And very pleased too. Welcome to all our new members - we're so glad you're all here!

Finally, please don't turn this topic into a let's bash TWC. We've done that here, and frankly we'd rather do that again. I've just once again, come to appreciate how awesome Storm2K really is!!! Way to go Ticka, Chad and Marshall! Congrats on a wonderful wx site.

Hey Mary...got that EMac up and running yet?

I've often thought that the best way to "show up" the competition is to do it by deed, not by bashing. How we do during this difficult week with Isabel approaching will speak volumes about the character of those who develop and oversee Storm2k.

In the end, other so-called major boards may sneak in on us to see how we are doing...what a compliment to the efforts of so many.

I agree, bashing another site just doesn't get us anywhere. Sure hope my initial subject heading didn't imply that. TWC's chat room is closed, so I'm safe there. It was a busy place when severe wx was imminent. I might change that one word - comparing. Anyway, I'm just amazed at how busy the Tropics board is!!! It's quite difficult to keep up with posts over there.....they're coming in so fast.

I never was on TWC's chat boards - just the forums where I met alot of you guys before coming here.

The Tropics forum is HOPPING right now and I am amazed myself as to how many topics are posted during the hours when I'm not online. There's alot of great information and observations being shared over there. This week I'm sure will be even busier!

Bill, Bill, Bill - thought by now you knew my husband was an Avid Mac user!!!! Yes Steve Jobs is his guru I do believe.......what's that other guy's name? Will Gates? Bill Gates.....yeah that's it, Bill.....? LOL

We love our Macs......don't you go knocking Apple Computers!!!!

PS - right now he's looking for a refurb iPod, just missed one last week at only $169......birthday/early xmas present for him. This is the one consistent item he's wanted for a long time now. He's even hooked me by now.....
