Didn't see anything about it on Snopes.

If it's true, he's toast.

Its true i saw the video. In his video he had a voice over that talked about how he admired the rise to fame of dictators, and in a part that was cut out of the final product he said that he admired hitler's rags to riches story.

This was a HYPOTHETICAL conversation about people who, historically, not only rose from "rags to riches" but had the ability to manipulate masses of people...Hitler was only one of the persons being explored.

This in NO way should adversely influence Schwarzenegger from running for Governor of California; as to the other allegations, they don't call them "Californicators" for nothing...

Yes, it IS "funny"...the L.A. Times buried Clinton's infidelity on page 22, while Arnold, with much less concrete evidence, gets front-page, bold-type?

Can y'all say "BIAS"? Say it again, "BIAS"! :x

From a pure intellectual standpoint I would have to say I admire Hitler's rise to power. It is a textbook example of exploiting a situation and achieving an advantage from it. Remember Hitler was a lowly corporal who was jailed for his dissention and yet rose to lead one of the strongest armies in the world at the time. Do I admire what he did once in power? Of course not! He became one of the most vile people to walk the face of the earth. My point is, Arnold said much the same thing in the interview that's being much quoted. Taken out of context it's terrible but I guess that's why they did it....

As far as Arnold's sex life. Most of the acts that been reported occured many years ago. If every man who has been guilty of a stray grope was shot the women of the world would be very lonely. LOL The difference between former President Clinton and this is that the former president did it in the White House with a subordinate and then lied to the courts and the American people. That's a very very big difference!

Yeah you can't deny that Hitler was instrumental and hugely successful in rising to power. But come on...there are so many other people that have risen to power...but Hitler? Poor choice of words if you ask me.

But it was 30 years ago. People change and I wonder if he would still say the same thing today?

Being a student (and once, teacher) of history, I find Hitler's rise remarkable.

Note that he was the lowest-ranking member of the Kaiser's Army to be decorated with the Iron Cross 1st Class as a lance-corporal (most went to the "officer" class), and managed to parley that into his standing in a nine-member political party (1921) which, three years later, alomost toppled the Bavarian government. During his prison term of nine months, he wrote "Mein Kampf", which displayed his innate understanding of the German psyche at that time....defeated, gun battles between factions and parties on every street corner, and Germany forced to pay for the entire Allied cost of the First World War...a powerfully ugly set of plagues.

The rest, as they say, is history; but note that Hitler KNEW what the German people wanted, socially, economically and politically, and DELIVERED on his promises. They wanted jobs, and he got the "Junkers" to retool and expand industries; they wanted safety, and they got it in the form of the "Geheime Staats Polizei (Gestapo)"; they wanted their national pride back, and he gave them breathtaking spectacles (no matter that they were wrapped within a "personality cult", with himself as the national icon)...long before "Krystalllnacht", the Holocaust, and his "final solution" were even planned, much less implemented...and YES, they WERE. 6 million Jews alone, not counting the Slavs, Gypsies, Poles, Czechs, and Germans who were done to death in Sachsenhausen, Ravensbruck, Bergen-Belsen, Auschwitz, Dachau, Sobibor, Babi-Yar...shall I go on?

If he hadn't, the world would be a different place...Germany would have gone "Red" in the 30's (carrying much of Europe with it), and the map would not be as diverse today as it is.

Am I an admirer of Hitler? NO...nor am I a "Nazi, neo-Nazi", etc., etc.

In fact, if the so-called "neo-Nazis" ever got their "Day of the Rope", I'd be one of those they'd hang...if I didn't kill them first.

But then, truth IS truth...even if you don't want to hear it.

#15 Postby Guest » Sat Oct 04, 2003 12:46 am

How can anyone here Believe this crap about Arnold & Hilter?

isnt it obvious that the whole story i s Horse dung? With the women 1 of 6 have come forward... the rest have given statements and people have seen Arnold with some of those women.

In the Hitler comments case.... Only many who is SUPPOSEDLY writing a book about the PUMPING IRON video has heard Arnold makes those remarks...

NO else has.

NO tapes ( yes they had taps back in the Mid 70s). The guys saying this has had this info since 1975... and has been writing this book for 25 years... and never um Finished it.

and of course the classic sign that arnold is a nazi-- he has given MILLIONS of dollars to the israel re-forset plan... Holecuast Museum.... etc .

I find it very Ironic that these people wait so long to come out with this????? That there should say something in itself!!! And BTW i just saw where someone DID correct what he said...............More or less Arnold praised Hitler for how he overcame and as well said he didnt praise him for the monster that Hitler was....................As usuall someone making false statements once again in politics.

And to even compare Arnold to Clinton (Our President of the United States who bold face lied to all on national TV.............Nope im not saying any more.........LOL

Oh please! Is this the best they can do days before the election? Nah, I'm sure not. Expect something else on Monday...mark my words! ;)

Let's understand what he said a little better....he was commenting on Hitler being a public speaker, not that he was a great man. HUGE DIFFERENCE!!
Anyway, regardless....it was what, 30 years ago?? Come on! I'd hate for people to judge me on what I did 10 years ago!!!
This is just like the last minute DUI with Bush. Didn't work there....lol

Oh well....it will be interesting to see what they come up with on Monday.

One more comment....comparing Arnold to what Clinton did is just laughable.....I'll leave it at that for now.

I thought some of you might find this interesting:

By Neil Cavuto

FOX NEWS

A lot of people ask me about bias in the media. I always have a standard response: The issue isn't what the media reports, it's what the media does not report.

For example, I think it's fair game to report these fondling allegations about Arnold Schwarzenegger. What's odd is why they weren't brought up earlier, when the Los Angeles Times was sitting on this much, much earlier.

I think it's fair to question a gubernatorial candidate's commitment to women if he has a raucous past with some women. What's odd is not bringing up the same about a former president who had a lot of experiences with a lot of women before and even "while" he was president.

I think it's fair, even though a little weird, to dig up decades-old comments a candidate made about Adolf Hitler. What's odd is not creating nearly the fuss when a senator named Byrd used the "n" word on a national TV show.

I think it's fair to call groping for what it is, wrong and unacceptable, when it involves a man named Schwarzenegger. What's odd is ignoring Juanita Broderick's allegations of something far more serious involving a man named Clinton.

And I think it's fair for NOW and other women's groups to come out and attack Schwarzenegger over his views on women. What's odd is how none of them said boo when it involved Bill Clinton.

I mean, why is it the folks who argued that sex should never be an issue when it involved a Democrat, are now creating such a stink when it involves a Republican? Perhaps because they're hypocritical, phony, smarmy worms with an agenda as transparent as their own puffed up egos?

I'll report. Please.. you decide.

And one other thing...

The "squeezing the charmin" story came out the day after Arnold was reported as being ahead in the polls. Coincidence? NOT!
