Front lawn love-in gets couple in trouble

#1 Postby TexasStooge » Mon Oct 13, 2003 11:46 am

COLUMBIA, Tenn. (Court TV) — A Tennessee twosome are in trouble for a front lawn love-in.

Dan Gilchrist, 45, and Paula Parris, 44, were charged last week with public intoxication and indecent exposure after a neighbor allegedly spotted them in a grassy grope-fest.

The neighbor first called police to complain that a couple was nude on the front lawn of their home. Moments later, the neighbor reportedly called police again with more details.

"There's a man and woman out in the yard," the neighbor reportedly told a 911 operator. "She's out there nude...They're having sex out here, and people are running by."

Responding officers found the couple in varying states of undress, according to a police report. Gilchrist was allegedly clad only in his underwear, while Parris had nothing on below the waist.

"She was bottomless with a gray sweater over herself," an officer wrote in the report.

Police allegedly found two bottles of vodka in the yard and arrested the couple.

Gilchrist was also later charged with disorderly conduct after repeatedly disrupting his bond hearing. He was released on $3,000 bond and Parris was released on $2,000 bond.

Both are set to appear Oct. 20 in General Sessions Court.

That is one funny story!! Those neighbors will be talking about this couple for months to come!

I live on a cul-de-sac street with 27 homes. We had a wacky couple like this for a few years. They never actually did the deed outside but I imagine they've done it in one of the many homes' lawns they've lived in (husband was a P & G exec, can you picture that, so they've been transferred a lot) The wife really shook up my neighborhood! They threw parties at the drop of a hat......she'd moon straight-laced neighbor's houses after midnight and we'd all say - well, it's time to go home now. LOL More wacky behavior like this but I can't remember it all. Those 3 or so years were a blur. A fun blur for this former Catholic school girl. They say opposites attract and that's true in friendships. Somehow the two of us became friends while she lived here. She'd lend anything you'd ever need or help out in an emergency. Heart of gold but my, oh my she behaved just like this.

My neighborhood still to this day, 10 years later, talks about her! A new neighbor will move in and mutter - oh this is a nice and quiet street......and we old timers smile....knowing this street was one, wild and crazy place for a while! :-)

Mary

PS - hate to admit this but give me wacky neighbors like this anyday, over judgemental, stick their noses in your business type neighbors! As long as they are not into criminal behavior.....:-)....which technically this was but hopefully you all know what I mean!

I've heard about being in love costing you an arm and a leg but GEEZ!!!

There isn't nothing wrong with a grope-fest. Just keep it INSIDE or at least out of public view. You never know who's filming....

LOL....

Mary I too would rather have a looney neighbour (well semi-sane anyhow) than a stick in the mud...

Well I think it's great that people their ages can still act like teenagers. I'd worry more about the nosy neighbors.
