UM...Is any of this true about BUSH??? I Sincerely Hope not

#1 Postby Rainband » Sat Oct 25, 2003 6:25 pm

I got this email..and at first thought it was funny and from a Bush hater
Then I read it and it's kind of scary if you ask me..Whats the deal????????? Is any of this true

The Shameless Confessions of George W. Bush

I stole the U.S. presidency in the 2000 Election with the help of my brother-governor in Florida.

I attacked and took over two countries.

I spent the U.S. surplus and bankrupted the U.S. Treasury.

I shattered the record for the biggest annual deficit in history (not easy!).

I set an economic record for the most personal bankruptcies filed in any 12-month period.

I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the stock market.

I am the first president in decades to execute a federal prisoner.

In my first year in office I set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in U.S. history (tough to beat my dad's record, but I did)./b]

After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, I presided over the worst security failure in U.S. history.

I set the record for most campaign fund raising trips by any president in U.S. history.

In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their jobs.

I cut unemployment benefits for more out-of-work Americans than any other president in U.S. history.

I set the all-time record for most real estate foreclosures in a 12-month period.

[b]I appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any president in U.S. history.

I set the record for the fewest press conferences of any president, since the advent of TV.

I signed more laws and executive orders nullifying the spirit of the Constitution than any other U.S. president in history.

I presided over the biggest energy crises in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption was revealed.

I cut health care benefits for war veterans.

I set the all-time record for most people worldwide simultaneously taking to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.

I dissolved more international treaties than any president in U.S. history.

I've made my presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in U.S. history.

Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in U.S. history. (The poorest multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.)/b]

I am the first president in U.S. history to have all 50 states of the Union simultaneously struggle against bankruptcy.

I presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud in any market in any country in the history of the world

I am the first president in U.S. history to order a U.S. attack AND military occupation of a sovereign nation, and I did so against the will of the United Nations and the vast majority of the international community.

I have created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States, called the "Bureau of Homeland Security" (only one letter away from BS).

I set the all-time record for biggest annual budget spending increases, more than any other president in U.S. history (Ronnie was tough to beat, but I did it!!).

[b]I am the first president in U.S. history to compel the United Nations to remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission.

I am the first president in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the Elections Monitoring Board.

I removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of Congressional oversight than any presidential administration in U.S. history.

I rendered the entire United Nations irrelevant.

I withdrew from the World Court of Law.

I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. prisoners of war and by default no longer abide by the Geneva Conventions.

I am the first president in U.S. history to refuse United Nations election inspectors access during the 2002 U.S. elections.

I am the all-time U.S. (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign donations./b]

[b] biggest lifetime contributor to my campaign, who is also one of my best friends, presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation).

pent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in U.S. history.

I am the first president to run and hide when the U.S. came under attack (and then lied, saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1).

I am the first U.S. president to establish a secret shadow government.

I took the world's sympathy for the U.S. after 9/11, and in less than a year made the U.S. the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in U.S. and world history).

I am the first U.S. president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.

hanged U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

et the all-time record for the number of administration appointees who violated U.S. law by not selling their huge investments in corporations bidding for government contracts.[b]

I have removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in U.S. history.

I entered office with the strongest economy in U.S. history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down.

I am planning the theft of the 2004 Election with the help of computerized voting machines that leave no paper trail.

Records and References:
[b]have at least one conviction for drunk driving in Maine (Texas driving record has been erased and is not available).

as AWOL from the National Guard and deserted the military during time of war.

I refuse to take a drug test or even answer any questions about drug use.

records of my tenure as governor of Texas have been spirited away to my father's library, sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

records of any SEC investigations into my insider trading or bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

All minutes of meetings of any public corporation for which I served on the board are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

records or minutes from meetings I (or my VP) attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.

Surprise, Surprise...

Here is some for Clinton.
RECORDS SET

- The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
- Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad

My point... there are plenty of these about every President on the net.

What do I think about President Bush?? Let's just say I sleep a lot more peacefully at night now than I did when Clinton was occupying the White House.

9-11 sent shock waves through every world market...add the artificially inflated "earnings" before the "dot-com" bubble burst, the accounting scandals, insider trading, etc. (all on Clinton's watch, note), PLUS the prosecution of war, which is never cheap...it adds up, ladies and gents, and no Democrat now serving in office, or seeking the "brass ring" next year could have done better under the weight of so much coming so fast.

I, too, sleep MUCH better at night with a REAL Commander-in-Chief in the Oval Office...and I will again express that confidence in November of 2004, thank you very much.

Propaganda. Bush is doing a good job with the situations he has. I support the Commander in Chief.

I spotted a few statements in there that might not be true. I think there are more true things in that email then false ones though. My vote is always in the minority as a third party voter.

I received this e-mail awhile back too. Some of the stuff is rediculous I believe, but I am sure no one would have hastened to post something like this on Clinton if it were circulating.

I don't have Acrobat on my home computer, but here's a link to Snopes that links to a site with an analysis of that information:

http://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/resume.asp

Claim: Internet "résumé" outlines President George W. Bush's business and political careers.
Status: Varied.

Origins: The George W. Bush "résumé," one of the most forwarded items of 2003, is a mixed bag of entries of varying degrees of truthfulness, many of them quite complex and/or subjective in nature. We haven't had the time to properly delve into the multiplicity of claims contained in it yet.

However, because so many of our readers have asked us about this e-mail, here is a link to the work of someone else who has taken a stab at evaluating the piece. Please note we have in no way vetted the analysis or conclusions offered therein — we offer the link solely on a "let the reader beware" basis.

"While the president of the United States is never completely on vacation, most commanders-in-chief manage to enjoy a respite from the daily grind during their stay the White House. George W. Bush seems to have taken this to the extreme early in his tenure as president. A humorous, fake resume for Bush suggests that he set the record for most days on vacation by any president in U.S. history -- a bit of an exaggeration, but still cause for some teasing."

I am happy Bush went after Bin Laden and Hussein. But if we never find them, it will be 1 of the reasons Bush doesn't get re elected.

Yes, he was accused of rape. He, as far as I know was never charged or convicted. I guess at this point we will never really know, but I can't say that I would put it past him, either.

"Juanita Broaddrick of Arkansas accused him of raping her in 1978. In a February 24 interview on NBC's "Dateline," Broaddrick said she permitted then-Arkansas Attorney General Clinton to have a professional discussion with her in her Little Rock hotel room during a business convention. They had met while she volunteered on his first gubernatorial campaign. After some light banter, she said, Clinton pounced on her, bit her upper lip until it bled and violently penetrated her after tearing through her panty hose. Before he left, Broaddrick said, Clinton donned his sunglasses and remarked about her bloody lip: "You better put some ice on that." Broaddrick contemporaneously told four others about this alleged incident including her friend Norma Rogers, a nurse who recalls putting ice on Broaddrick's lip after finding her in shock."

I , for one, think that the more negative propaganda about a President only means that he is doing his job. It seems that when a President is on the ball, there are groups out there who feel the need to try to discredit him in any way. Some of the things listed may very well be true but what they neglect to add is the mitigating circumstances that were preceded by the outcome.
