Cellphones - How often do you charge yours?

#1 Postby Stephanie » Thu Nov 06, 2003 11:11 am

To everyone that has a cellphone here, how often do you charge your phone and how long does the charge last? I just got my Kyocera a month or two ago and it seems like I need to charge it everyday. I only use it for emergencies. I used to leave it in my car but after what had happened at the Tropicana, I figured I should carry mine around all the time.

Stephanie
Sony Ericcsons are also like that with battery lifetime charge time holding.

But i have a Nokia now and i barely use it at all anyhow but i have to charge mine every 3 to 5 daysdepending on howmany Text messages or phone calls i make or send. But 3 to 5 days is my average.

Thanks for the info! I my other Kyocera also didn't seem to hold the charge very long either.

I use mine (nokia) about 10 hours per month, and charge it about once a week.

How long do you let it get before charging it? I let mine drain down to 1/4 charge left before charging it. I have a Sony Ericsson almost 2 years old and it lasts 2-3 days between charges. I use 10 or 20 minutes a day talking. The box or manual should state battery talk time and standby time. Also a long musical ringtone and flashing keypad or antenna light would drain it more then normal.

I just plug mine in at night to keep a full charge. I hardly use it at all and when I take it with me on my drive to KY, I'll probably keep it plugged into the charger as I drive. I've heard that it doesn't help the life of life of the battery to do that. But since it's hardly ever used, it doesn't seem to hurt.

I've always had it plugged in in my car. It just doesn't seem to hold the charge long and from what some have said, it seems like it depends upon the make and model.

Thanks alot for sharing! :D

If I use my phone frequently, then I charge it either in the car or on the base. I have a LP and the battery lasts for a farely long time.

I have a Motorola, but only use it a few times a week. I rarely leave it on to get incoming calls, so I can get by with charging it once every other week.
