Coffee

#1 Postby azsnowman » Mon Nov 10, 2003 7:13 am

For you coffee drinkers, what brand of coffee do you use? Us........Millstone Bed and Breakfast whole bean  We just bought a new coffee maker, a Milleta, it grinds and brews the coffee all at one time, no need for a seperate grinder  You key in the time you want it to grind, brew and VIOLA! You wake up to FRESH ground coffee 8-) We used to use Gevalia, but as much coffee as we both drink, it got a *little* too rich for my blood! Of course Millstone ain't exactly CHEAP......8.99 LB  but hey......."I'm WORTH IT!" "LOL!"

Not a coffee drinker but I remember growing up -my mom would only drink Folgers - black straight up.

I tend to go for flavored coffee if I have a cup every blue moon.

Hi Dennis...if you call two cups a day a coffee drinker, then it's Folger's Breakfast Blend that gets me started at work....

Starbucks espresso... from the grounds that you can buy and take home. We got an espresso machine for the wedding and it's the only way I'll drink coffee these days :)

Starbucks French Roast for us here.

I also love flavored coffees like Vanilla Almond, Caramel (WaWa), Irish Cream, etc. We usually brew a pot of flavored coffee here at work in the afternoon for a treat and to give us that second wind!

I have heard of them Mr. Bob. My sister lives in Roswell and she buys from them.

I am not a coffee drinker. But I love to smell it brewing on a cold morning. Will drink a cappuccino
though.

We like Chock full of Nuts. It has great flavor and the price isn't that high. I clean the coffee maker once a month or before entertaining to make it really taste good. And add one third gourmet grounds to Chock full to make the whole pot taste gourmet, on occasion. We also like drip method.

The other day I saw a lady buying I think it was Folgers in huge plastic tubs. At least 20 on the conveyor belt. Another item in bulk too, but I can't remember what that one.....anywho this was at my local Kroger's, not Sam's. Thought for certain she was shopping for a church, civic organization, office, shelter, etc. But no it was all for her own pantry! I smiled and said you must have a huge pantry! LOL Her cart was full of coffee as she walked all. No lie! She said it would get her thru the winter......now there's a funny story! Guess you had to see this but I think it was 2 for 1 deal or something. She probably cleaned out the shelves.

I love the high priced coffee, too, but my pocketbook doesn't like it. So we settle for Chock full of nuts or Maxwell House. However, I prefer a Farberware electric percolating pot to any of those drip pots like the Mr. Coffee. Even perked on the stove top is better than a drip.

Starbucks whole bean. And when I go to Barnes &
Noble, it's straight to the counter for a Caffe Mocha.
I don't even look at books until I have a cup in my hand.

I've had a Capresso ( the coffee makers that grind the beans) since they came out with them about 6 years ago. Before that I used to grind my own beans. I don't know kinda makes me feel like a gourmet cook or something!!!

My favorite coffee is anything marked "Kona" from Hawaii. It's great. We have a company here in the Burgh that roasts their own beans and they are terrific. But, some of the best coffee beans around are sold by EIGHT O'CLOCK COFFEE. Has anyone heard of that??? I love it and the price is right!!!

I don't drink it either, but Bonnie, ya put a smile on my face mentioning Winn Dixie! It's a childhood memory thing....we frequented Winn Dixie in Goldsboro, NC when I lived there!

I like cappucino though! And I just go to a gas station to get some when I need it!
