Jessica Lynch story

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Tue Nov 11, 2003 1:44 am

Well, unless you live near a 24/7 book store lol.. The Jessica Lynch story will be released a few hours from now. I plan on buying a copy even if I have to wait a few days, weeks to get it.

I'd like to read it just to see what it says. Plus she's an american hero.

The local Barnes and Noble (Cape Girardeau) said they have already sold out of the "in-store" stock...but I have my order in for the next shipment.

Anyone watching the interview right now with diane sawyer? I think this is probably the best interpretation of her personal thoughts about the ordeal, because she is the one talking about it.

Having heard Jessi herself, I really want her book...in her interview, she called those oversize, brown turtle-shell plastic glasses she was issued "birth control" glasses (Philip said his were "Di Caprio" glasses in the USMC, because Leonardo Di Caprio couldn't "get any" if he wore them)...caused a hearty chuckle here!

Sadly, it's being reported that her book isn't selling well.

Yep, those glasses have been called "Birth Control" Glasses for ever. We called them that back in the early eighties when I joined the Army.
