Nuclear Bomb

#1 Postby GalvestonDuck » Mon Nov 24, 2003 4:53 pm

Back in the 80's, I used to say I'd want to be as far away as possible from a bomb blast. Now, if we're ever hit, I'd prefer a spot right smack dab in the middle of ground zero. Just incinerate me into oblivion. I'm ready.

Well, here's one topic I never thought about much. But I suppose I would like to be on the other side of the planet. Unless it is possible to be even farther away than that.

It was a hard tie between the other side of the world and with my family... but the truth of the matter is that I'd inherently like to live- even if my family is gone. I'd like them to live too... preferably on the other side of the world with me

I would prefer the nations to avoid at anytime throwing a nuclear bomb anywhere in the world because of the horrendous consequenses for the humans around the world.

I think it goes without saying that no one wants a nuclear bomb to go off... The question is a case of "Nothing could be done to stop it" not- "Wouldn't it be niffty if..."

As long as my family is near, I don't care, but I'd like us all to be away from it. ;)

Ditto here Colin. Family first. Heck, living on the East Coast between NY & DC, I might as well have a big ol' bull's eye painted on my house!

Regardless, I certainly do not want that to happen. But, I would definitely want to be with my family at a place far away from any impact.

If we're talking full scale war then I'd say ground zero. Since the biggest likelyhood is a terrorist attack I'll take with my family.

I'd rather be in the middle of it... Kaboom.. and its over with... rather that than worry about radiation and dying a slow painful death.

Having lived through the frightful cold war of the fifties and early sixties I have to say first I pray that we never have to deal with Nuclear blasts and their consequences again!!! It is not a time I would wish on anyone. No I am not scarred for life, but I have very vivid memories of some of it.

Past that I would prefer to survive with my family on the other side of the world or maybe Mars. I've always been intrigued by Mars. If I were not to survive I still would want to be with my family at ground zero.

Of all the possible (and rational) choices available, I'd choose "Ground Zero". Better to die quickly than slowly.

Was tough choice between ground zero and near family---i voted family near but would rather it to be quick and painless (ground zero) than be anywhere watching it all unfold and waiting for it to nuke where we were at  .
