Algerian plane crashes after takeoff-updated

ALGIERS, Algeria, March 6 - An Air Algerie aircraft with 97 people on board crashed shortly after takeoff from a town in southern Algeria on Thursday afternoon, according to television reports. There was no immediate word on casualties.

UPDATE: 102 killed in Algerian plane crash, 1 survivor
