Russia risks high stakes in Iraq

MOSCOW, Feb. 26 Weapons of mass destruction, the diplomatic struggle at the United Nations, inspections and the likelihood of U.S.-led military action dominate the headlines about Iraq. But never far behind the headlines is the issue of Iraq's vast oil reserve and the billions of dollars to be made from it. Perhaps no nation other than Iraq itself has more riding on Iraq's future and the future of its oil than Russia.
