Oh my. This is probably significant, but good for us if we have caught them.

We won't know that information until the details get released. I'm going to look for Air France flight information for today...

Fox News says 2 flights (747's) to LAX were cancelled, and Air Tehiti(sp) that were going to stop in LAX has been cancelled (flying out of France.)

I found two Air France flights from Paris to LAX that are scheduled for today. We'll have to see if these are the ones. Flight numbers are 68 @ 2:45PM and 70 @ 7:30 PM. The times listed are Paris local time. I show that neither of these flights have departed at this time. The current local time in Paris is 8:15PM

If it is them, couldn't they just take another flight after those were cancelled? I'm sure most people on those flights would be trying to do that...maybe trying to arrive for Christmas.

Well, maybe I was getting ahead of myself there. If they have enough information to cancel the flights, I'm sure they either have suspects or will be questioning everyone. Just thinking aloud here...

I just heard on Fox news that the threat was "very precise" and involved Al-Quaeda. This is great if they were able to stop a terrorist attack but also scary to know that it was planned.

The cancelled flights were a direct result of communication between the U.S. Embassy and the French Interior Ministry, detailing "specific information" about Al Qaida involvement in flights from France...no other details yet.

Good thing we stopped whatever was in the works (hopefully). I wonder if there were terrorists aboard the planes?

Loks like I got the two flight numbers right :-)

CNN wrote:Air France flights 68 and 70 from Paris to Los Angeles and Flight 382 to Los Angeles via Cincinnati were listed as canceled Wednesday afternoon. The decision came after consultation between U.S. and French authorities, a senior U.S. official said.
