They could always serve the kids with an over-weight problem diet sodas.

I wish they would have done that to Florida schools when my kids were in school. All my daughter will drink is sodas. She drinks very little milk or any other beverage. I am afraid she will develop osteoporosis before she is 35 years old.

OMG.....what are these POOR KIDS gonna do? I swear....we NEVER had sodas in school back in those days (course, back in THOSE days, Coke still had COKE in it, along with 7up, 7up had Lithium in it) "LOL!"

Seriously, you watch, someone will hire the ACLU and file a LAWSUIT!

No, wait......sodas don't have anything to do with God, The Pledge, The 10 Commandments, Prayer, so the ACLU won't get involved!

They will find a way. The ACLU will say the school has taken away their civil rights to be fat if they wanna be. Watch and see.

Me too Jacki. I go to Sonic every morning before school and get a Dr. Pepper so I can stay awake for the day. Nobody would ever be able to part me from my morning soda!

Here, it's no problem at all...most of the high-school kids eat off-campus at Wendy's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Subway, or Mickey D's...anything to get out of the "food" served in the cafeteria.

Our kids are not allowed to leave campus to eat...soooooo, it's either take your own lunch, skip lunch, or risk being poisoned by eating the cafeteria food. LOL. Nah, it's not really that bad. They do tend to have the same thing over and over each week...pizza, burgers, hot dogs... The kids are served milk with their lunches. They have the opportunity to buy juices or bottled water. They aren't allowed to buy sodas or snacks before lunch.

I drank a lot of milk when I was growing up, I now drink more soda in the last five years and as some of you know I am far far from obese.

i think its ridiculous. milk will make you fat long before a soda will, unless its nonfat milk.
