Former Military Personnel joining the Anti-War Protestors

#1 Postby j » Tue Mar 11, 2003 9:01 am

Anybody else see this guy on Oreilly last night? Can't remember his name but he is a retired Colonel I believe that openly admitted that he will commit Civil disobediance, as an organized protest action once the bombs start dropping. Defiant acts will include blocking traffic, doorways, and other civil disruptive actions. He accepts that what he will do is illegal, and is willing to suffer the consequences which will assuredly be arrest.

I just don't get it! He has fought in War and defended this country before, but does not feel that this war is justified. What is it going to take? Another Mass Murder to remind everybody that times have changed, and we can't sit by and wait for failing Diplomacy to maybe work, while the next attack (which undoubtably will be more horrific than the previous) is upon us?

It just amazes ME how a little time will fog the mind.
