WHO WILL WIN THE SUPERBOWL?

#1 Postby VanceWxMan » Mon Jan 19, 2004 5:15 pm

So who will win the Superbowl XXXVIII?
I think that BOTH Ds are in great shape with 3 interceptions by EACH team in the NFC and AFC chanpionship games. But over all I think that the Panthers will win it.

Patriots 24-10... although an '86 Bears-like "Super Bowl Shuffle" beating is certainly possible, but I'm not going that far out on a limb (how's that for covering my butt?) :D

I just haven't thought anyone coming out of the NFC would beat anyone from the AFC looking at the playoff teams. Will be a good game I hope.

New England should come out on top of this one. But they play the game for a reason, 'cause anything could happen. And by the way, Vance, New England had four interceptions on Manning in the Championship game..And Carolina had four interceptions on the Eagles.

My vote goes to New England.

So in effect you're saying the Panthers don't play for a 'cause anything could happen' reason? *confused*

You lost me on that reply. But to clarify my point. I think that the Patriots will win this game, but.....now here is where it may get tricky...... I am saying thta the Panthers could win too, because anything could happen in a game and there are no guarantees for a win for any team, that is why the game is played out.

When I said thet "they" play the game for a reason was meaning both teams, not just the Patriots.

PACKERS!!! oh, wait...they got put out 2 wks ago LOL. just kiddin. My son was highly upset that the Packers got put out. He's crazy 'bout Bret.
I think the Panthers have a good chance to win the SB. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Hmm I still think that the Panthers D is much stronger than the Pats... Pathers held the Eagles to 3 the entire game and the Pats let the Colts score 14 points....If the Panthers play the way they did in the NFC champ game they will win.

As for Bret Farve... HE THREW THE GAME AWAY LITERALLY :p

I like the Panthers as an underdog. Their defense has been awesome all year. As long as the offense can keep from making the big mistake I think they have a decent chance fo pulling off the upset. :-)

Go Panthers! :-)

I do not really care which team wins, but I believe that the Patriots have a better team and slightly better coaching then Carolina. I think that this could be a very close game and would not be suprised to see either team win.
