I wish I would have switched the channel after that comment. Some things i heard make me think he may be telling us what we wanna hear!! Yep he did an awesome job on Iraq and the war on terror...but he doesn't care about some things sensitive to me...so I think he has alot of room for improvement.
Very disappointed

Im guessing you were pro Bush untill somewhere aroound here rainband?
and then all his policies were bad after you heard that? Something tells me if he would of left that part out you would still be chanting Go Bush.?.?.? And I can uderstand you taking issue with that obviously you have ever right to.... But dont damn his whole presidency that you have praised in the past because you take issue with that one policy....
A strong America must also value the institution of marriage. I believe we should respect individuals as we take a principled stand for one of the most fundamental, enduring institutions of our civilization. Congress has already taken a stand on this issue by passing the Defense of Marriage Act, signed in 1996 by President Clinton. That statute protects marriage under Federal law as the union of a man and a woman, and declares that one state may not redefine marriage for other states. Activist judges, however, have begun redefining marriage by court order, without regard for the will of the people and their elected representatives. On an issue of such great consequence, the people's voice must be heard. If judges insist on forcing their arbitrary will upon the people, the only alternative left to the people would be the constitutional process. Our Nation must defend the sanctity of marriage

Yes Chad you nailed it. But as the president he must support all the people not just some of them..if every gay person in this country was allowed to vote for Gay union or marriage it would pass. This is a government for the people by the people....isn't it
BTW I support the war on terror and the liberation of Iraq.

If every person in the US were to vote on the Gay Marriage issue it would be soundly defeated. This country was founded on the rule of the majority..... our politicians and our courts sometimes forget it. There's no doubt in my military mind that our country is in much better hands with President Bush than with any of the other presidential imposters...

Excellant line, one I will always remember.
Ever tried to think of some great quote that Clinton made???...besides "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky"
Anybody notice the total disrespect shown by none other than Ted Kennedy throughout the entire speech? Right behind him was Hillary with that grade school smirk all night.
