Golf

#1 Postby David » Sat Jan 24, 2004 5:54 pm

Hey.. for those golfers out there... who has gone golfing this year already? I went today with my step-dad... very cold to say the least. I wanted to get some practice in before golf starts practice for Topeka West March 1st.

The par was 71.. I had 122... +51. :o

How is everyone else doing?

3 weeks ago I went to Sedona, shot a 98 on a par 72 course at Sedona Golf Resort.

I was thinking of playing in that tournament too, but I am not sure now.... It is alot of fun though. Bring your own club, made out of whatever you want.

I wouldn't be able to do any better than a 158 LMBO!

I took my daughter (13 yrs old) for her first round on a full sized course. She learned to play on a par 3 close to the house and then we moved up to some of the executive courses. She shot a 113! Not bad at all for her first time out :-) I had a pretty good day for me, 87 :-)

Well Marshall... she beat me, and you beat my step dad. I had a 122 while he had a 98. But you guys probably didn't play in 30° weather with a 10MPH wind. :)

Played this morning. I shot a dismal 92 but had a great time.

Its kind of hard to get onto the golf course when you have almost 7 inches of snow and ice on the ground and more to come. At the beginning of the month before the bitter cold settled in, one of the local courses was actually open and I considered going. By the way it looks, I might not be getting out on the course much before mid-April, when the ground finally has a chance to thaw and absorb some of the water. I just wanna go golfing darn it!!!!
