How common is your first name? Your last name?
Here is some interesting stuff from the Census Bureau's website. It is a list of names ranked by how common they are. The list is fairly comprehensive; each list contains about 90% of all the names in the US. There are 3 seperate lists: One for male first names (1219 names), one for female first names (4275 names), and one for surnames (88799 names). Take a look and see how common your name is. Hint: Press Ctrl f to search within the list. Post your results here if you'd like. You don't have to post your last name on here if you don't want to.

Not surprised that my first name (Richard) and my son (Joseph) are nos. 7 and 9. My wife Heather and my daughter Hailey were way the heck down the list, which surprised me a little.
As for my Irish last name... well, I'm at work, and I don't have the patience to even begin to look for it on that list.
