US starts free e-mail warnings on computer viruses

I signed up earlier. I am happy about this.

I just signed up as well. I do get alot of e-mails from our IT department, but the more information the better.

I signed up yesterday. I didn't receive anything yet so I don't know if I signed up properly, usually something like that will send you a notification.

I signed up last night before I posted it here and by the time I signed off last night I hadn't received notification either. I would think that we would get something by today. Just remember that you have to reply back to their e-mail with "accept" in the body of the message - that will confirm your request to be apart of the list.

Best and smart thing to do is not open any Email that you don't know who sent it.

They are from Symantec (Norton). They send you a letter and you click on the link. It takes you back to their confirmation page, and you're done.
