The Most Annoying E-Mails

You want to know what the most anooying thing in my e-mail is that when I go into my inbox, there were regular names such as "Jane Windham" with a subject called "Hey!

". So I was thinkin that someone looked at my profile and wanted to talk, but come to find out it was a piece of mail about getting a Mortgage loan or increasing your sexuality, or whatever.

Ugh, I get those all the %#&%&^%# time. :rolleyes: Darn Yahoo and Hotmail spammers. :mad:

Things like Save $853.79 today on a home loan!" or "Increase...", etc. get really annoying like you said.

Do they have anything better to do than waste server space and bandwidth sending out zillions of these e-mails a day?

I keep getting this fox news update email even though i've unsubscribed from the emails and even tried to block them!!!! SO ANNOYING! And they come with an attachement too

I've been getting alot of e-mails that refer to "my order". I'm wondering if that's from the "My Doom" virus.

What bothers me about my Yahoo! e-mail is that I select all of the e-mails that I think are spam and inform Yahoo! about it, but I still get similar e-mails. I feel like I'm the one doing all of the work! :roll:

you need a more secure email service provider. Yahoo, Hotmail MSN all the FREE emails are a waste if you don't want SPAM. IF you want good service and no spam (less spam) you need to pay for it. Once you get it you keep one of the yahoo, MSN or HOT MAIL accounts to use as a JUNK mail account (use it to fill in forms online and such) then use the new one for PERSONAL use only.

With that said there a many different companies that provide pay service.. but if you need an email account I have over 300 to offer and will hook anyone up, with a one time fee of 5 bucks. This money will go into my site (wxchat.com) and help pay for the server. Accouts will have a 10MB limit. Yahoo , MSN or HOTMAIL don't even give you that. I will also give you 2 ways to check your mail FREE POP3 or webmail. Your new email addy will be _______@wxchat.com

Speaking of spam. I went to my yahoo box and had over 700 spams in 5 days. Also in my inbox an e-mail with no sender name and subject said none. I've gotten a few of these for the last 2 days. I've just been marking them spam and blocking the address without opening it. I hope it works.

I'm getting those stinkin' emails in my PRIMARY account as well ... and frankly, it pisses me off to no end ...

EVERY DAY, I get about 75 emails, and I'd say 80% of those are SPAM. Ranging from anything and everything ...

I get a lot for Viagra or Drugs on line!!!!!
Others just want to increase the size of my body parts. YIKES some of those parts I don't even have and the ones I do have I'm perfectly happy with their size.

I get all kinds of crap in my AOL mail, which I pay for, and next to nothing (maybe 2 or 3 a week) in my Yahoo mail.

If you set up your Bulk Email folder in Yahoo, it seems to know to delete stuff that's sent in mass emailings, which most spam is. Then, every once in a while, all you have to do is click "Empty Bulk Mail Folder" and it deletes it all in one click. And you never have to look at it unless, for some reason, you go to that folder. So your inbox remains clear and clean, with only mail from people who know you.

It takes work but you can stop all the spam and unwanted emails. Use outlook express to automatically delete certain words and those emails are gone and I never see them. I just make sure I delete my deleted emails when I log off. I used to get up to 30 emails. Now I get only 1 or 2 spam and the rest are emails from family and friends.

The only problem with this method, is that the spammers are getting around this by making their subject read all garbled such as: TXVD KJGF74HD UYRTKG84, or something like that. There is also a feature to block senders in outlook. I use that quite often.

If I do not clear my bulk mail folder in Yahoo every day, legitimate e-mails will not get through, because they literally fill my allotted space in a matter of a day.

I do utilize my bulk e-mail folder and I'm glad that I have it, but I still review it daily to make sure that noone that I know had sent me something and it ended up as "spam".

AOL has the "word list" that you can create so e-mails that contain certain words on the subject line will go right to the spam folder. You are right, when I get an email with my name or one that appears innocent enough, I can't simply add it to the list. I discover too late that I shouldn't have opened it.

As it is now, when I look at the AOL word list I've created I have flashbacks to when I first heard them in third or fourth or fifth or sixth or seventh grade..or Vietnam..or Christmas Eve 2002.

I'm almost embarrassed to look at the list even when I am alone. Looks like the Jr. High spelling test we would have all aced back then! Except I don't think I would have understood the word viagra then. I would have spelled it with an "N", as in the Falls.

I laughed out loud one day when my boss was looking through e-mails in my office on his laptop and my eye caught one that said something to the effect, "Hi cutie, wanna see my ******?" I asked if that was from an employee wanting a raise.

Don't you love it when your boss has an embarrassing moment like that?

I seriously need to follow some of the tips in this thread ...

Between my website email account, my separate account, and my primary account, I average 100 emails a DAY ... and 80% of them are crap ...

A few years ago I switched to Qwest COmmunications High-Speed Internet from AOL. AOL I always got nusiance e-mails everyday. Now, I only recieve e-mails from my friends and family!
