The situation in the poorest country in this hemisphere is very grave as a civil war is on the virge to break out if not is already.Over 50 dead so far haved been reported in the disturbances in the past 2 weeks.I hope that all is resolved soon because the US may have to deal with a massive flood of refugees into Florida like what happened a few years ago.

:( This has been going on there for near 200 years. It won't end till there's no one left. Aristide was viewed as their savior,, now he's the cause of what he spoke against over 10 years ago.

Because I don't know much of the history and politics of Haiti, I'm wondering what happened over there. Ten years ago, the United States wanted to see Aristide in power. What changed?

He proved to be of the same material that the Duvaliers were made of. Get in power and hold on to it.
