Wallabies are becoming a popular exotic pet...
A wallaby is a smaller kangaroo, we are looking at the Bennet Wallaby, females range from 2 1/2 ft to 3 ft, and are about 40-50 lbs as adults. They've become very domesticated through out the world, and there are many wallaby bredders in the US.
You get your baby wallaby as a 4-5 month old and bottle feed it as you would a baby. They are strong bonders with their human families.
They are supposed to be very sweet and loving, and attatched to their families. They come hopping over to you when you call them by their name, and can be house/litter box trained. They will hop along with you as you jog, etc, and love to play.
We are considering purchasing a Wallaby for a pet...Does anyone know anyone with a wallaby? Any thoughts? (Except that the hot California sun is baking my brain before I even get there??) :O)
