At 12:30 ET this afternoon a couple came through on our house during a showing (their second time) and have put down a bid that my folks have agreed to. The husband is a big band musician (don't know what kind of band) and he and his wife have been looking for a house to get settled into in two weeks and before his band starts another tour. So my folks and I will be packing like "there's no tomorrow" these next 2 weeks and the closing is Friday March 26th!
I feel numb and have to get myself psyched up after hearing the news about the bid offer and agreement...mixed emotions naturally after 15 years with the fine people of Roanoke Rapids.
But then, we'll only be about an hour and 45 minutes away so family and friends from up here can come down and see us without any problem!
The moving and storage company we've hired out of Raleigh is called "All My Sons".
We'll be living in an apartment in North Raleigh for a while and using another apartment for some storage...meanwhile my folks and I will be looking some more at condos as an option for residence a bit later. Currently my Dad has a computer at his apartment but no e-mail or internet...so will get that up sometime after we get settled...so it may be a while for me to be online again AFTER Thurs. March 25th. Movers will be here March 25th or earlier that week depending on how much packing my folks and I are able to do ourselves.
Please continue keeping us in your prayers.
God Bless You,
Eric
PS: Okay, I asked my Dad a few minutes ago about getting the internet up at his apartment once Mom and I move in with him and he said that if we were to do that it probably wouldn't be $$$$ feasible for just a couple months and then having to transfer it over once we move into a permanent residence...so I'll be offline after about March 24th.
I'll miss you all but I understand what my Dad means by the cost of having to transfer over so to say once we get established into our humble abode.
Gotta do what ya gotta do.
I'll find other means of recreation meantime.
I won't be offline "forever!"
