Richardson would be my best guess...Kerry needs a Latino base, and it is thought that Bill Richardson can deliver.

The "smart" play would be to put Hillary on the platform..but I don't think she wants to play her hand so early on in this game. 2008 is close enough for Hillary, and her war chest.

I would think he would take John Edwards. Just my two cents.

I think it would be edwards. It'll help him get more of those "on the fence" voters that are so crucial to any presidential win.

Yes, John Edwards has youth, style and is a master of "trial law" delivery; but at the same time, his charisma didn't extend to the voters in the South, he is a first-term Senator with little government experience to back his resume as a "solid player", and he may prove much more of a liability to Kerry than some others Kerry's looking at, come November.

Add that he carries the taint of "trial lawyer" in a time when medical malpractice insurance and tort reform is on everyone's agenda EXCEPT Kerry's...

Not this trip.

Mary Landrieu -- there's a name I haven't heard being thrown about. She seemed to be popular back home in LA, maybe our Cajun Queens can fill us in. Don't know her policies or politics, but hey, who knows, he needs someone to help him win the South
