The last class

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Thu May 20, 2004 9:18 am

I know this is probably insignificant to you guys lol.. But I thought I'd share it with you..

Today is old HS' graduation day. They graduate tonight @ 7 and I plan on being there to support the friends I still have from the school.

Anyway.. This is the sad part. They are my "last class". They were 9th graders when I was a senior at that school. So as I was leaving, they had 3 more years.

I have watched a lot of them grow and become better young minds. It's been kinda an emotional time for me.

Tonight my last class leaves GHS. After tonight.. I probably will have very few reasons if any to ever return to my alma mater because there is hardly anyone I know there..

Congratulations to my class of 2004 as well as any other grads we have on the board that graduate this year! :)

John, speaking of one's high school...mine is across the highway from an eatery called Skyline Chili...which is famous there in Cincinnati. :) Whenever
I'm with my folks on a vacation up that way it's neat to stop there and while eating...looking at the school building...sure brings back the memories...both the chili and academic years!

Through Classmates.com I re-connected with a good friend named Gary who is now an Assembly of God pastor located along Lake Erie in Port Clinton, OH.
:D He's married with 3 sons and a daughter. :)

I am on Classmates.com also.. But I am just a standard member.. Not a gold member..

My old HS is right across the street from where the Houston Astros have spring training games..

I can't believe it's taken me this long to completely give the old school up.. I still go back every once in a while, but nowhere near as much as I used too and with trying to help Cassie and all that at times, I still go back on occasion..

I was confused with 2001 being the first REAL year of the new millenium for awhile...funny it doesn't start with the double 0's.

Congratulations on your graduation. It is a big BIG deal, and we are proud of you.

Remember to be genuine in your goodbyes to others who share this night with you.

As a class of 1964 graduate, I can honestly say that graduation night was the last time I saw many of my classmates.

And the next step of real life begins....
