That march was written for the Grand Army of the Republic...who came home ONLY after their mission was completed.

Their great-great-grandsons and daughters, if asked (and we who have loved ones in service have), they will tell you they feel the same way.

Makes an old "Yankee's" or "Rebel's" spirit PROUD, don't it? :larrow:

I just hate seeing american soldiers killed for a problem that might be there for a very long time. There might never be the kind of stability we want in Iraq.

I can only imagine how their families feel with their sons and daughters be away from them and the possibility they could be killed whenever. And of course how the soldiers feel being away from their families. That has got to be a terrible feeling...Its safe here at home and i dont see how terrorism the way it works can be stopped in a foreign country. There are just too many cracks for them to get in if they wanted. They are too scattered in too many countries...and we cant invade them all.

I sure do wish some higher force would intervene and stop all this madness.
