Heard on the radio this evening that we are using up our supply of Tomahawk Cruise Missiles :o We have approx 1000 left over there and only "500" in stockpiles! They can only produce 3-4 per week, the manufacture is working 24/7's at the moment. The military ann. for ABC quoted that this may be JUST what North Korea is waiting for and he brought up the possib. that Iran MAY join Iraq in the fight opening up another front! Wonder how many more Tomahawks they are planning on using???

This was also an issue in 91. I wonder if they were talking about the Air Launched or Sea Launched? These are two entirely different missiles. The ait launched was designed and built by Boeing with the sea launched originally built by General Dynamics. I worked on the Joint Cruise Missile Project for 4 years with the Ground Launched Cruise Missile. This missile was the same as the Navy version but was given away under the SALTII treaty.

Very good point, blizzard.
Despite our free speech amendment, there are things that I really do not want to know about and the media shouldn't know, either. I, actually, kinda would like to see the media stop speculating so much. Let our military do the job that they are doing and not speculate or continue to announce to the world that we're coming in at such and such a time. It's great that in this country that we have Freedom of Speech, but some things I would not mind one bit that were kept secret. Let the enemy find out the hard way about what's coming and not be announced to him by CNN with speculation (IMO).

We usually don't know what the military has in store...or what it HAD. When I was a cop, an older "streetsoldier" told me that there was a post-WW II ammo dump underneath a little-known reservoir in town; this was how they disposed of unused and unnecessary ordnance from the factory on the north end of the city after the war was over, so he said (millions of .30-06 rounds...imagine!). :o This was back in the early 70's...I wonder if it's still there.
